He Tried Dropshipping on Facebook Marketplace For One Month! (Pro Reacts)

if you follow my channel then you know i love facebook marketplace drop shipping and think everyone should try it which is why i get so excited when you guys actually listen to me so i'm not the only channel on youtube talking about facebook marketplace drop shipping there are a lot of other channels who are talking about this awesome side hustle and there are a lot of channels out there that kind of do these experiments where they try different side hustles different ways of making money online they'll make like one-off videos about crypto about shopify drop shipping and about facebook marketplace drop shipping as well and one of the reasons facebook marketplace drop shipping is so popular is because it is so simple to do you can get it set up and running really quickly and start making money with it really quickly as well and that's what we have today we have a youtuber by the name of tropic who recently made a video called i try drop shipping on facebook marketplace realistic so i thought i would react to this video as someone who has a lot of experience with facebook marketplace drop shipping and we can see what he did well and what maybe he can improve on so let's check it out

it's pretty safe to say that after trying shopify drop shipping with tick tock instagram and facebook ads only having made one sale it is far from easy to be profitable drop shipping as a beginner so that's why i completely agree with that for those of you who don't know when i first tried to make money online one of the first things that i tried was shopify drop shipping i set up my store got my custom domain had everything set up all my products kind of connected up with suppliers and never made any money i lost money just like tropic did right here so i sympathize with this i know how hard it is to start drop shipping which is really what brought me to drop shipping on different marketplaces like i said this guy he makes a lot of videos trying his different side hustles so yeah he tried shopify here lots of different ways and obviously didn't work out for him just like it me why we're headed to the facebook marketplace the drop ship on there and with the zero dollar advertisement costs i'm looking to turn around my drop shipping career so drop shipping on facebook marketplaces is a hundred percent man so this is why i love marketplaces you're not going to be paying for advertising because the customers are already there you don't have to set up a website the traffic is already there it is so much simpler than trying to build your own website and getting customers to visit that website in the hopes that they'll trust you enough to buy from you when you can just piggyback off of the success of places like ebay or amazon or facebook marketplace where people already trust them and the customers are already there it's essentially a copy and paste form of drop shipping what i mean by that is you're gonna go to retail suppliers like walmart and target and pick products on there and copy everything from the listing on targeted walmart and put it up on facebook marketplace it's absolutely genius so that's a very simple explanation but a pretty good one man it is basically copy and paste one thing i wanted to point out though i would not drop ship from target is notorious for hating resellers in general so even if you try to go into a target store and you see something on sale and you want to buy up a bunch of them to resell them on amazon they're not going to let you do that if they catch you they don't like resellers and that includes drop shippers so if you start drop shipping from target they see your shipping to multiple addresses they will shut down your target account it's happened to a lot of people that i know but a lot of other great suppliers out there now for something like ebay i do wholesale drop shipping but for facebook marketplace retail drop shipping is really strong and very profitable unlike drop shipping on ebay we're actually doing illegal activity here because ebay's policy prevented drop shipping specifically from retail suppliers whereas facebook does not have anything about that in their policies so facebook only charges the five percent that's correct as well but i do want to point out this you use the word legal there that's not quite the right word it's just against their rules to do retail drop shipping on ebay that doesn't make it illegal but yes they don't allow retail drop shipping you do allow wholesale drop shipping on ebay and facebook also allows retail or wholesale drop shipping they don't 9 feet compared to ebay's like 10 to 12 and a half percent fee there's gonna be a lot more money in your pocket my plan is to make as many listings as possible and market the prices anywhere between 10 to 20 the products i'm going to be picking are home goods over 35 dollars because only then you get free shipping from the suppliers of walmart and target saturation level is very low right now because not many people know about it seems like the perfect cash cow scheme from the outside is it really though let's find out so i really like your strategy obviously some research because home goods is one of the best categories i think to be drop shipping on facebook marketplace and the free shipping though that doesn't really matter too much because if you're paying for shipping for an item you're buying from walmart then so is everyone else who's dropshipping that same product so i wouldn't worry about that too much now 10 p. m and a little bit earlier i found a bunch of products that i wanted to put out there however very quickly i realized i can't actually do this so facebook marketplace only has shipping available for certain people that are eligible and they don't really give a whole lot of requirements for the eligibility so my personal facebook account does have shipping but the problem is it has been permanently restricted from posting anything on facebook marketplace i'm looking at other solutions okay so i know what happened to this guy so this has happened to some other people i know where you try to drop ship onto facing marketplace and they tell you that the shipping option is not available to you you've been restricted and usually that's because you've tried to run facebook ads in the past and you had issues with your facebook advertising account where maybe you ran some edge you weren't supposed to or that facebook said and because tropic here runs or tries a bunch of different side hustles i'm willing to bet he tried to run some facebook ads facebook shut down those ads and now that's affected his marketplace account as well most people that's not going to happen but it did happen to him so i'm kind of curious to see how he solved that issue and see what i can do and something to keep in mind for you and when you sell on facebook marketplace do you have that shipping option enabled you can check that once you try to post the listing so i'm going to work on that and then we'll see what happens i got a big update for you guys it's now thursday september 16th and last night i went ahead and uploaded 35 items wow to the facebook marketplace platform with the shipping option and how i did this is i use my friend's facebook account again i have some great news and i also have some bad news so the good news is i received two orders but the bad news is the account got restricted i'm currently requesting a review to actually be able to go ahead and buy and sell on facebook marketplace once again all right so a couple things using a friend's account family members that's a great strategy that's the strategy i tell some of my students to do who aren't able to get the shipping option a better strategy for you would have been to appeal the restriction on your advertising account gotten that back and then you would have had the shipping option unlocked for your marketplace account too the reason you probably got restricted on your friends accounts because you listed too many items too quickly you went from zero to 35 that's a big jump i would have taken it slower and not listed as fast inside what i teach my students is that they should scale up nice and slowly so that this issue doesn't happen i cannot even see those orders so i can't fulfill them and with the free shipping and no returns my backside was covered i think this is gonna be a great model to make some money i'm not quite sure why facebook thinks i violated their advertising community guidelines i mean everything i did was legal nothing that i did was against their terms i think the only thing that probably prompted them is because i did 35 that was my mistake congratulations you played yourself i went a little ham i was so excited to post all this stuff and i went a little crazy i was doing this for two and a half hours looking for all these products and then throwing up on facebook marketplace copy and pasting what really surprised me was by the time i got to my last product that i was uploading the very first listing that i had created already had about 80 views and there were some in there that were already doing numbers there were like 40 and 50 and that's not surprising at all for facebook marketplace things will move fast much faster than you'll see on other marketplaces because the competition is so low it's not uncommon for people to make their first sale their first day selling on facebook marketplace one tip i do want to give you and this is a plug the whole process of manually copying and pasting everything over that takes a long time there are chrome extensions out there that will automate that you click one button it just copies everything from the suppliers website like walmart and paste it into a new listing on facebook marketplace and the reason i say that's a little bit of a plug is because my team developed a chrome extension that does exactly that it's called the drop shipping titan's marketplace helper just throwing it out there i mean i know the conversion rate's not gonna be the greatest because the price is pretty high the account got taken down pretty fast so i think if the count wasn't taken down we'll be looking at a lot more orders right now we'll see what happens it's been in review for over 12 hours now hopefully i didn't screw up my friend's facebook account i'll show you guys the listings whenever i can get back in i don't know what's going to happen those customers orders if i can't get back in just you guys whenever i have an update regarding facebook and the review on the account well guys there's some great news it's wednesday september 22nd and i finally got the account back in good standing at least in the terms of the account not being in the review anymore and i can actually sell stuff so i actually replied to one of facebook's emails every 24 hours just made me request a new review after that 24 hours they would send an email saying you know the account's still under review so i replied to that email saying what policy did i break everything you know should be fine and after sending them a few emails i got an email back saying they fixed it but then they didn't and i sent another one and eventually i did get the account back to where i could sell so unfortunately i did miss out on a few orders my cancellation rate is at 100 and that's currently haunting me because of that 100 cancellation rate facebook does not push my listings as much anymore there are two orders i'm trying to recover right now when i messenger and message these two people one person said they're waiting to get paid then they'll go ahead and get an order the other person said they were still interested and place an order so i went ahead and bought that item from target we should secure a nice little profit right there get our first sale on facebook marketplace so that's pretty exciting even though this is something that unfortunately most people when they get a suspension like this which is pretty rare to be honest it kind of throws them for a loop and they just give up and they never make any progress but it is very possible to get your facebook account back from a suspension happens every single day but you have to be persistent i'm not sure what's going on over there with their customer service team how congested they are so to speak but we have found that this exact strategy does work just annoy them send them a lot of emails and eventually it goes through to the right person and they look at it and say oh you actually didn't do anything wrong and they lift the suspension so now my account's not under review anymore i should be hopefully making a lot more sales unless the cancellation rate continues to affect me as it has just for the first few hours here on me actually being not under review everything's all good now i'll check with you guys when i get an update 28th i got another order finally get a bunch of messages this past week people asking for different dimensions even though they're in the description and i almost had a sale but they were looking for something that was 50 inches tall i had something that was 47 inches tall they didn't like that and i had something that was 57 inches tall but they didn't like that one it had to be 50 so it couldn't make a sale there but we finally did secure a another order and it is for the same item it's the bookshelf this listing has over 2 000 views however every other listing that i have out there has no more than like 100 views it's absolutely ridiculous what facebook has done so my facebook marketplace account because of the cancellation rate just because i was under review i mean i guess it's good that one listing is getting pushed but if my account didn't go into review and i didn't have that cancellation rate the orders would be absolutely popping off right now yeah i mean it's very unfortunate what happened you will get your account back you just stick with it continue to sell and then uh you'll get your account back up to the right standing and then just like you said it will pop off after that with all these listings getting you know thousands of views you'll be doing pretty good we're in week three i mean we've only had like a solid weekly account actually not being under review and i hope to get that cancellation rate down with each order we get you know obviously i went ahead and fulfilled that order cost like a dollar more another person from california i guess the taxes are different in the different counties i'll go over the numbers tomorrow when i conclude this video okay guys i'll check with you tomorrow all right guys it is wednesday september 29th i'm now gonna go over the numbers of the two sales we actually did generate and my final thoughts on facebook marketplace drop shipping all right so we sold the exact same items the corner cube bookshelf from target so the first time i got the order the cost from target was 64. 35 cents the revenue from facebook after their five percent fee was 71 so it leaves us with a profit of unfortunately this item i marked up fifteen dollars if i did twenty probably close to that ten dollar mark which would have been nice and then the second time i sold it which was yesterday total cost from target was sixty five dollars and twenty five cents of course the revenue average facebook fee is 71 and the profit is 5. 75 so our total profit as of wednesday september 29th is 12. now i'm going to keep going with this facebook marketplace drop shipping i think once i get that cancel yeah i mean a lot of you watching home might say oh it's only six dollars for all that work but he did it once he did it twice and then it's just gonna repeat i mean only he had to list that item once he gets enough of these items that sell six dollars profit seven ten dollars profit a few times a day or different products so it's a few 10 profits a day and then you have to spread out over a year it can really add up fast especially once you start to add up more products and it really starts to scale up deletion right down and get some of these listings pushed again and i'm going to continue to create new ones i created a couple new ones the other day they didn't really do that well i just think without those two things being in play i definitely think we could have done a fair amount of volume with this is like the absolute perfect business model especially right now because this facebook marketplace drop shipping is pretty new is this a viable side hustle in 2021 absolutely this might be the best form of drop shipping for me because there's a zero hour add cost it's very easy to do and you don't have to build any website no risk involved besides being banned by facebook i guess this is a really great video from
