StreamNative Remote MCP Server

So I'm logged into stream nato cloud where I have this instance within which I have a cluster and I have a couple of different topics the orders and the events topics. I also have two different Kafka source connectors populating data into these topics. Now let's go to the MCP server which is at the organization settings level. MCP right now it's not enabled. So click on it to enable the preview. We are currently in public preview at the moment. So if you go back to MCP, you'll notice uh there's a cluster there and you can enable MCP on it. I'm going to click on that. It's enabled now. So let's configure that. So you see now I have a MCP server endpoint which can be used to connect with different AI clients. And uh let's go to permissions where you can set the mode to be either read only or read write. You can also select the allowed tools. I'm going to select uh actually all of them. Save. Now let's go back to the connection to explore ways to connect to different AI clients. So I'm going to choose the option of API key. And for cloud code, it's already populating some code which I can run in my terminal. I just have to put my API key. There you go. Now my MCPS server is registered with the local config. So I'm now ready to run some prompts inside my cloud. And I'm going to list all the topics from my cluster. So now you notice the events and the orders topics are showing up here. I can also list all the available resources within this uh stream native cloud environment. And this should list all the Kafka pulsar resources and the stream native uh cloud admin resources or even the generic uh resources. There you go. And now I'm going to uh demonstrate the right capability here by creating a topic with a single production. You go the topic is created. Let's populate some data into this topic. There you go. So now if we go back to the cluster in that topic uh you will notice uh within my topic which is newly created uh you can also see uh the message which is populated here. Right. So that was a quick demo of the stream native remote MCP server.
