now the number one tool that i use for product research for both ebay and facebook marketplace is zeke analytics here zeke analytics is something i've been using for years it's really simple and easy to use and i'll be showing you how to use it throughout this video how i use it and if you want to sign up for it i will have my affiliate link for it down below now when it comes to looking for items for a specific time period that i want to drop ship like for the month of july i always start by seeing what's happening in july what's happening that people are going to spend money on in the month of july so what i've done

here is i pulled up i just searched on google for holidays in july and i have this website right here there's lots of these different ones online now mostly this seems to be kind of just full of junk yes we have the fourth of july right big obvious holiday here in july it's kind of too late to start selling those items if you're starting this right at the beginning of july you would wanted to start listing uh you know independence day items weeks ago in order to get those items in and be able to ship them to customers on time for 4th of july so we're going to skip that one but if we keep looking you're going to see kind of these i don't want to call them silly holidays but you know the less known holidays like apple turnover day and international kissing day and fried chicken day these don't really seem helpful to us right but they are kind of helpful because what they will tell you is what are people interested in during this month right so we can skip things like national kitten day but you will see things in here like national hot dog day for instance now i'm not suggesting you go sell hot dogs but how do you make hot dogs well on a grill or on a barbecue and those are definitely popular during the summer like in months of july we also have things like national hammock day and you know any sort of thing that will allow people to lounge around outside those are going to be popular during the month of july and in the summer as well other things like national coffee milkshake day maybe is nothing around that but you know it kind of gives you the idea hey people like cold tasty things during the summer and in fact there is somewhere here in july national ice cream day i do know that because people want ice cream during the month of july so what i'm going to do now is i'm going to hop over to zeek analytics and see how we can find some products that kind of fit the bill there so i'm going to search up here for barbecue and click search on that and right away

i like what i'm seeing here in the results it has a sell-through rate of 202 459 percent which means that of the hundred listings that it looked at these items are selling multiple times over and over again in the past 30 days because all this is passed is based on the past 30 days and basically what i'm trying to do here is really validate is this the product that's actually selling well right now that people are actually interested in so we got the idea from this holiday calendar and now we're just validating that idea here with zeke analytics you can see just a ton of money right now being sold on uh ebay because this is all pulling from ebay uh and you can see that all those things that looked at 87 of them were successful so that's great because that means it's not just like one person's making a ton of sales all the listings most of them i should say are making sales here and this also shows you who's making up of all this uh all these sales as you see it's pretty spread out they're a there are a ton of sellers here who are selling this item which is also really important you don't want just one person dominating like just one person selling all the barbecues on ebay it's really spread out which is a good sign in terms of competition and if you scroll down here you can

actually see what is being sold the most popular items because under this column that has a shopping cart it shows you how many times this listing sold in the past 30 days now we search for the word barbecue but a lot of times what you'll find is in the results you might not see that many barbecues in this example you'll see a lot of barbecue accessories and that's fine this entire process is dynamic you shouldn't just get set on one thing you know we thought of barbecues well you're thinking to yourself oh now i have to sell barbecues and if i'm not seeing barbecues here in the search results then it's not going to work no whatever the data shows you this is what we're interested in what has been selling in the past 30 days whatever however we arrived there is okay so this item is sold 135 times in the past month this barbecue grill mat set so that is something i want to sell myself okay so what i'm going to do is come over to

walmart if that's the supplier that i'm going to be using and i'll search your barbecue grill mat and if you're not using walmart if you're using a wholesale supplier different retailer all you're going to do is search along in their catalog for these items that you're looking for and in fact you see here there are plenty of these grill mats and they're pretty cheap so yeah these are some items that i could drop ship right here you know i would find some of these with some good reviews like this one right here 256 positive reviews exactly what i want a good price that's something i would drop ship right there onto ebay and hey in my experience i found that if it's selling well on ebay it's also going to sell well on facebook marketplace which is why i love doing this type of product research because it allows me to kill two birds with one stone all right i can list this on ebay and facebook marketplace and there's a really good chance it's going to sell in both places what else do they have here on zeek analytics what else is sold 108 times these what are these multi-sized barbecue double single door some sort of accessory for them a pellet grill okay that is kind of cool um i like this one though because it's a really good price it's sold 85 times in the past month it is a stainless steel folding portable charcoal barbecue grill so yeah here is a grill right here this is exactly what we were looking for it is a folding one so we're getting a little bit more specific here let's see if i can find that on walmart a folding grill and see if we find something similar actually we found pretty much the exact same thing right here so this is an item that i would drop ship bam right there we know that this is selling well on ebay so we're gonna sell it ourselves on facebook marketplace and it's gonna sell really well over there as well so if you can find the exact match awesome but even if you could find something similar in a similar price range i found that those are also going to sell well as well all right so we're going to come back to

this i'm going to do another search here this time for ice cream because we did say that it is national ice cream day in july and we do know that people are going to be eating a lot of ice cream during these hot months so let's look for ice cream i almost typed in ice cream all right so ice cream sell through rate of 454 percent and only 36 percent of the listings are successful so i don't know i'm not feeling greatly confident about it but hey as long as the items are selling we're okay here so let's see this is actually a waffle cone maker and this one is electric ice cream maker it's sold 44 times in the past month but the more the other thing i want to highlight here is that there's other ice cream makers here so this one sold 44 times this one so 39 times this one's sold 27 times so it's sold 25 times so these are definitely selling so let's and they're some of them are pretty expensive which is really nice to see because you can get a really good margin in there so let me search here for ice cream maker and see if we see something similar again this one's 329 dollars but a lot of them are around in the 30 range yeah so let's see if we find something around 40 here yeah i mean this this is it this is the exact thing that we saw it's right here it's got good reviews so bam this is what i'm gonna sell right here again i can sell this on ebay on facebook mark please it's hot right now it's going to get even hotter as it gets hotter outside and it's going to be very pop very popular at the end of july and moving into august and you see there's a bunch of these different ones i might list up a few of these but i really like this one because it's the cheapest and it looks just like the one that's selling well here on zika on ebay as we saw from zeke analytics so list both that up on ebay and facebook marketplace now if you're struggling with this if you're looking at these holidays and you're saying you know i just i'm not really connecting the dots you know i see that it's national scotch day but should i be finding scotch items or is that just one of those holidays that no one actually celebrates like is this really going to work for me if you're struggling there then one thing i would suggest that you do is literally just come over to walmart. com even if walmart isn't your supplier that you're going to be using you can just come over to the walmart homepage actually sorry get to it a little bit come to the walmart home page here and it's going to show you right there on the home page exactly what items are popular right now walmart has decades of data right they know what people are going to be buying right now and they want to put those front and center so that as soon as people come onto walmart. com they're more likely to buy those items so what do we see right here on the home page we see patio furniture right here remember i said this with a holiday right with national hammock day people just want to get outside and they want to lounge around so patio furniture is going to be really hot in july so we can do is open up walmart open this up and kind of look at some of them but what i also like to do is come over to zeek analytics and we'll search here for patio furniture i'll click search just to kind of get an idea of what kind of patio furniture is popular on ebay because here on walmart you see that there's a ton of choices right there are these hammocks there's this outdoor decor there's this heating patio furniture outdoor lighting what kind of more specifically should you be looking for and what zeke analytics is telling us is that this is a really good category with the 90 successful listings and 1500 sell through with hundreds of thousands of dollars in sales and pretty spread out in terms of who's selling it and all these items i mean check this out the high price point of these items right here and what do we see here these uh wicker furniture set four piece outdoor furniture set three piece wicker furniture set all these are selling 79 85 95 100 times this

is one of my favorite items to drop ship online on ebay and facebook marketplace because they have such a high price point people will buy them without really shopping around because they don't really have a set inherent value and people like to buy sets of them they don't want to just buy one chair they want a whole set that matches and those sets cost a lot of money so it's a higher price point which means that we can have more money more profit in our pocket with the same amount of margin and markup so paddock patio furniture is just one of the best things that you could be drop shipping online on ebay or facebook marketplace let's see what else they have here pets they always have that on the home page uh fourth of july we kind of missed out on that but here i mean here we see grills again barbecues again and don't be afraid to do the same search again if you kind of think of a different keyword to you so before we search for barbecues let's search this time for grills grill and see if we get kind of different results here right because it's all about what the people are searching for so again a really excellent sell-through rate maybe this is a little bit less than what we want but the average product price here is excellent at 110 and again you see the same thing again this folding portable charcoal grill and a lot of these table top grills as well portable table top grill so i'm going to search for that here portable table top grill and see what comes up yeah so a lot of these look really good looking for one some great reviews uh like this one has really great reviews it's a really solid price so yeah these are some that i'd be dropped this one right here you check this out really good price tons of people buy it and has great reviews so that's a product i would sell right there as well

now another really smart idea when it comes to product research is maybe thinking two months in advance so i know this video is all about july and what's selling in july but let's think forward a little bit what's coming up next because you want to get those items in before it's too late like as of the making of this video like i said before it's too late to list up fourth of july items so let's not let that happen again what is coming up back to school eventually kids are going to be going back to school they're going to start thinking about it in august and it's definitely going to happen in september when these items are going to start to be purchased and bought up so i literally just searched for back to school shopping found walmart. com here again and you can just go through again they're going to tell you right on this page they know what people buy for back to school shopping so you're going to see a ton of school supplies items teachers need to purchase as well as fashion for kids and all this tech and things like that think of dorm rooms for college students you know all the bedding that they need and all those little things that people buy for dorm rooms it is such a huge industry and you might want to start at least thinking about listing up those items and getting them into your store so they are ready to go by the time people start buying items for back to school and going away to college and dorm rooms and things like that and this is really how you can stay ahead of the curve when it comes to drop shipping on ebay and facebook marketplace it's a little bit more challenging because you don't have the data look if i were to search now on zeke analytics for dorm room furniture again it's going to look at the results from the past 30 days okay so what you see is not great 155 sell through rate only 26 of the listings are successful and you come in here and yes some of these items are selling but not a ton why because it's not back to school season yet people aren't shopping for these items yet but if you list them into your store now then once late august early september comes around and you search here on dorm room furniture all these numbers are going to be way up and because you listed your items in before everyone else you're going to be one of the people here that's selling a lot of these items so if you got some value at this video make sure to give it a big thumbs up down below and then subscribe to the channel because i'll be making videos like this every single month to show you product research and how i find items to drop ship depending on the season for ebay and facebook marketplace so if you're interested in that make sure to subscribe to the channel then make sure you check out this video or right here i'll see you there in just a second
