point is one of the good things it is a pretty simple process as i mentioned before and in fact selling on facebook marketplace compared to something like ebay and amazon is a much more relaxed selling environment you just throw some products up and you can just spend a few hours a week running this business and still make a decent profit or you could put a lot more time into the business and make more but the point is that this is a really great thing as a side hustle you don't have to devote a ton of time in order to make it work the other reason that this is a much more relaxed kind of selling experience is because the customers are totally different than they are on other platforms like ebay and amazon now i'm coming from that background of selling on those marketplaces i can tell you that those customers can sometimes be a bit difficult to deal with but on facebook they are awesome to customers and i think that's because they can actually kind of see who you are they can see your profile image and they know that you are a real person and because it doesn't have the same kind of reputation or selling history as ebay or amazon where customers purchasing on those websites are kind of expecting a more professional level of selling where on facebook marketplace customers kind of expect that they're buying from another peer and for that reason buying on facebook marketplace the customers are awesome they're really understanding and you're able to work with them if things go wrong so this is the first point and one of the best things about drop shipping on facebook marketplace

point number two now this is one of the bad things and that's that drop shipping on facebook marketplace is not as automated as drop shipping on ebay and amazon now if you don't have experience drop shipping on ebay and amazon you might not know this but when we sell on those platforms we have software that will automatically list items for us and automatically reprice them if the price changes on our suppliers website and automatically put the items out of stock if the item goes out of stock on our suppliers website so the whole thing is very automated but with facebook marketplace drop shipping that automation really doesn't exist now there are some ways to make it work that i am working on but i haven't quite gotten it to work yet and in the meantime there are some ways to semi-automate the process so there's listing of products and there's ways to get alerts every time the price changes on our suppliers website or the item goes out of stock on our suppliers website then all i have to do is quickly hop onto facebook and make those changes myself so there are some ways around this but just wanted you have to be aware that it's not going to be as automated as ebay or amazon drop shipping

shipping point number three the margins on facebook drop shipping are really good in fact for drop shipping they are excellent and there's a few reasons for this first the cost to get started on facebook is really low it doesn't cost anything to create a facebook account and because the software is so limited at this point it's really cheap because there's not a lot of software to use but more importantly the fees on facebook are extremely low right now they are only five percent that is much lower than you're going to see anywhere else like such as ebay or amazon and maybe even more important than that because it's still pretty new and very unsaturated we can sell items at a higher margin and people will still buy them from us so we're not having the lower margins that you're going to see on websites like ebay and amazon so the margins on facebook are excellent right now so if that sounds as awesome to you as it does for me and if you're enjoying this video make sure to smash that like button down below

point number four and this is one of the bad things you really should have a credit card in order to successfully dropship onto facebook marketplace and the reason for that is because facebook does not release the money to you right away instead the sale comes in you then have to upload a tracking number that tracking number then has to show that the item was delivered and then after that facebook releases the money to you a few days later so in the meantime you need a credit card to fulfill the order on your supplier's website until you wait for facebook to release the money to you and then you can use that money to pay off your credit card now for some people this makes facebook drop shipping impossible they don't have a credit card but there are some ways around this if you have enough cash in the bank then you can use a debit card or there are some ways that you can get payments off of facebook now this is where things start to get a little bit sketchy because if you use something like paypal instead of using the native facebook payment it is technically not against the rules right now on facebook but my guess is that facebook will soon say hey if you are using our marketplace to sell items then you have to accept payments through facebook marketplace so that we get paid for it because every time a payment happens off of facebook marketplace like in paypal facebook doesn't get their cut we know eventually facebook is not going to like that and they're going to want you to keep the payments on facebook so for now that is working but i have a huge suspicion that it will not continue to work so in the meantime best thing to do is just get a solid cash back credit card but you can fulfill the orders and then just pay it off as soon as the money is released to you point number five this is a pretty cool one now i have a lot of people that watch this channel who do not live in the united states and a lot of you always ask how can i do drop shipping if i don't live here now the good news is that you can do facebook marketplace drop shipping even if you don't live in the united states and it's for exactly the reason that i mentioned in the last point because as of right now facebook does allow you to accept payments off of facebook or at least they don't say that it's not allowed so for that reason you could sell items on facebook marketplace just accept the payments in another sort of way like with paypal and then you can sell as long as you have one of those other payment methods like paypal now like i warned in the last point this might not last forever but at least it works for now okay number six this is

something a lot of people don't know before they start doing facebook drop shipping and it can get you in trouble pretty fast you have to ship out your orders within three business days now obviously you're not going to be shipping out your orders because you're doing drop shipping you have to make sure your supplier ships out the item within three business days now that doesn't include weekends so that usually gives you a buffer at the end of the week it doesn't include holidays so that frees up some time as well but in general three days now that can be bad news because that kind of limits the suppliers that you can use because not all suppliers are going to ship within three days but some of them will i'll talk about that soon more importantly it just means you have to stay on top of that so when we have orders come in for facebook marketplace we make sure that we fulfill them as soon as possible so that we do get that order in and we get the tracking number sooner because if you don't upload a tracking number within three business days facebook will cancel the order automatically even if you already placed the order on your suppliers website and if you're not able to cancel it there then you're out of money so just be on top of this make sure you're placing your orders quickly make sure you're uploading tracking numbers as soon as you get them that way facebook doesn't cancel your orders on you after three business
