How to See Everyone at Once in Google Meet

hi there Jamie Keith here today a teachers tech today I want to show you how you can see everyone in your Google meet there's been an extension created that allows you to do this so this is a Chrome extension that when you add it enables you to be able to see everybody inside your Google meet and if they install this extension too then they can see everyone - and there's a few options so today on teachers Tech I'm gonna go through just installing this showing you what capabilities you have with this and how it gets used

okay so first of all you're gonna need to install an extension and this is it right here so if you go to the Google Chrome Store and Google meat grid-view now I'll put the link down below in the description of video you can just click on it and it'll go here too but if you haven't added an extension before just go ahead and click Add to Chrome and you just have to make sure add extension and it's that simple to add it and you can see now that it is ready to go it's installed up here you can see where you can get some info and different things on it if you right-click on it you can remove it from chrome if you don't want it there too so but now I'm gonna go into my Google meat we're gonna create one there and then I'm gonna add a bunch of people and you can see what the difference it will be so I've

created my group I've invited a lot of people here you can see there's nine different people in this Google of meat here the extension is installed and you can tell that it's installed because of this right here now we could switch our view down here if you go to change layout you can pick different ones if you wanted a tile look but even if you do that it only goes to four but when we click on this here so I'm going to turn this on you're gonna see the screen change here so we can see everybody at once on this one so you get a few more options with this too so if I just hover over this one you can see only show participants with video so if I go to one of my I'll just give an example of this I'm gonna turn off a different screen my video and you can see here at this point this one's not shown but if I go over here and click on this one I'm gonna get this updated now that it's not going to be there once it updates there goes it updated so that one's out of there if I go back and turn it on then it would pop back in again so it works very quickly if you don't want to see just the icons of it I'm just gonna turn the video back on that one just going back to the other one we highlight our speaker so if I click on this one here also I'm going to turn my audio on just so when I start talking now you can see which one is talking right here the audio is coming here so you can directly see that from there I'm just gonna turn this off again and then if we look at the last one include yourself in the grid to get everybody in there at once although this is all going to look the same so it's a very easy extension to use on this one definitely it's great to see everybody at once a great add-on to have the other thing I would just to say now the other if you have your students or whoever they can install this and then they can get the same see the same view if they want to see everybody at once and I've heard you know I've read different comments where people say they've had over 50 people and this so it would get pretty tiny on this one but if you have a class of 20 or something this is a great option to be able to see every one at once so the down below is the link to this extension super easy to install remember if your Google meet is open refresh your screen after you do install it let me know how it works for you down in the comments down below thanks for watching this time on teachers Tech I'll see you next week with some more tech tips and tutorial
