Is Walmart’s New PLUS Membership Amazing For Dropshippers?

so walmart has a new program called walmart plus it looks very similar to amazon prime but it offers some incredible benefits that amazon will just never be able to offer and while that makes it look like walmart is now the best supplier to drop ship from there's actually one small problem what's up everyone paul here from dropshippingtitans. com where i teach regular people just like you how to start your first successful drop shipping store now as drop shippers i know that we struggle sometimes to find really good suppliers we need suppliers that have really great items that have free returns and maybe most importantly have fast shipping and if we have a supplier that has all of that that's really good news for us so that's why i was really excited when i heard about walmart plus walmart's new membership program because it offers a lot of those benefits so for years walmart has allowed anyone to go onto their website and create a free account and you're still going to be able to do that with that free account you'll get free shipping on most orders that are over 35 but starting on september 15th walmart is rolling out their walmart plus program and for 98 a year you'll get free shipping on all orders for about sixty thousand items available in their stores now this sounds really familiar in fact a lot of people are comparing this program to amazon prime so let's actually do that let's actually compare the two but remember amazon prime's been out for a long time so let's look back at how amazon prime started and see how that compares to the new start of walmart plus when amazon prime launched in 2005 it came with one major benefit free two-day shipping in fact that kind of took the whole e-commerce world by storm and over the years amazon has tried to add more and more value to amazon prime so that's why they added things like prime music and prime video and prime wardrobe but what you see is that there's kind of a limitation to their major benefit which is the free fast shipping because with only 175 warehouses throughout the united states they're kind of stuck at only being able to offer two-day shipping for most locations now in major cities they can do same-day or next-day delivery but for most of the united states it's still at least two-day shipping and that's where walmart has a huge advantage you see walmart has over 4 700 stores and in their press release about walmart plus they said that they are going to utilize that network of stores to get customers their items fast i mean really fast like many cases next day or same day delivery now this is amazing for us dropshippers we want our customers to get their items really fast that will get us more positive feedback less cases maybe even top-rated status as well all good news but anytime they promise something like this you always have to read really carefully and in the press release it specifically says free delivery not free shipping so i kind of thought what do they mean by delivery now if when you're reading this let me know in the comments section what do you think that means because when i read the word delivery i think about homedepot. com because when i dropship from homedepot. com or when you buy anything from homedepot. com you're going to see that there's two options when you buy items many times you'll see items that have free shipping or free shipping on orders over 45 dollars and i know that when i order one of those items home depot is going to ship it out via ups or fedex or similar carrier but also on home depot you often see where it says free delivery and i know that when you choose free delivery usually what happens is home depot will pick the item off of a shelf in a home depot store put it on a local truck and the truck will just drop it off at someone's house at the customer's house now that means that the customer will get the item really fast but with delivery there are no tracking numbers with shipping there are tracking numbers and so that means deliveries are a big problem for ebay sellers because ebay requires tracking numbers customers want tracking numbers if a case opens up you need a tracking number to prove that the item was delivered and if it's delivery from a truck and not from a carrier like ups or fedex

that tracking number will not be available so shipping good delivery bad and i'm afraid that when walmart says they're going to be able to offer fast delivery from their stores utilizing their network of 4 700 stores that means we are not going to get tracking numbers and that is bad for drop shippers now the good news is that this should have no impact on the way that we currently use walmart as drop shippers walmart's a great website to drop ship from they're one of my main suppliers they do provide tracking numbers and i think they'll continue to do that unless we sign up for walmart plus and use the delivery option so what do you guys think do you think i'm completely overthinking this or do you think i might be right on this do you think this is something that we got to be careful about let me know in the comments section down below i really would be interested in kind of your opinion and analysis on what walmart plus is going to look like for us drop shippers either way it looks really promising but i don't think we're totally going to know until the program actually rolls out on the 15th so what i'm going to do on the 15th i'm going to sign up for it i'm going to try it out and i'm going to give my full review of it once i'm able to try it out so if you want to make sure you don't miss that review make sure to subscribe to the channel and i'll see you guys in the next video thanks for watching
