Powerpoint Template Design - Free Download

hi there Jamie heat here tonight a teachers tech will be having a great night tonight I don't want to show you how to make a great-looking slide deck for PowerPoint now this is a super easy way we're gonna be designing it in a different program this is all for free what I'm gonna be showing you and you can download it and open it right in PowerPoint so this is gonna be a quick video to show you how this works so you can get started with grading some great looking PowerPoint presentations so the program I'm using tonight to

create this great-looking slide deck for PowerPoint is canva now if you haven't used canva before this is a great free application that you can design so many things I use it for my thumbnails I've used it for channel art for posters infographics so many different things that you can use it for and you'll see once you're logged in all the different templates they have but I'm gonna go get hit and logged in with my Google right now I already made my account so I'm just gonna go ahead alright so I'm

logged in now and you can see presentations are right here but take a look at all the other things that you can create you can see from infographics I got the posters the YouTube channel art logos so many different things now I could type up here InDesign anything can see if I start typing presentation right away presentation that's the one I want there's a different aspect ratio one and there's also a mobile-first presentation but I'm just gonna do this one here because I can design it all in canva and then I can export it out as a PowerPoint file and still make changes at that point in my PowerPoint file so let's say if I was going to pick something like this autumn arm-candy one and I'm gonna click on that one and it opens up in a design and all of these all the slides in the slide deck has they have a theme to it so it all matches now I can go through at anytime and write in any of the places where the text is so if I want to write something I can go ahead and write something just like this so same thing is working in PowerPoint you can do it just click and add now you can delete things right in here too so I can go ahead and hit delete select you can change colors so if I click on the slide you can see up top if I did want it a different color very quickly to change any of this if I

go to a graphic now where this one says canva this is actually a it's watermark because this is a stock photo so this would be something that wouldn't be free but you can quickly change these pictures with free ones or upload your own images if I go over to photos over here and type ocean and this first one you can see it's free so if I want to use a picture of the ocean I could be looking for anything I can drag it into place and it just snaps into the place and I can make those adjustments and then I know this is going to be free I can as I mentioned you can upload so I've uploaded a lot of different things when I'm designing in canva and these are different pictures so you just go ahead upload an image go grab it from your computer and go ahead and upload it and then you can bring it right in here so here is the PowerPoint one and what I've downloaded or you can size it and put it in just like you're working in PowerPoint the main thing is here they've created these designs for you now if you take a look right above every slide I can add notes to these so if you just like in PowerPoint I can change the order of these I can go ahead and copy the page or I can delete a add a new page right from here too so if you just want a blank page to start with you can do that down at the bottom I can see everything all my slides here where

I could go through and I delete individual ones so if you're looking at everything you could delete it or I could select multiple ones and hit delete here so if I deleted everything if I didn't like this design I could go back to my templates and go ahead and pick another one here and you can see these are all the different ones I'm just gonna hit apply all so these will get put over in here so I have another presentation starting here with all this design already done for me I would just have to go through and pick the ones I want to leave different slides right what I want now what do you do when you're done and you want to turn it into PowerPoint this makes it so easy if I go up to present up here now one thing about canva I could present right from here too so I could add some animations and everything but what my point of this one if for PowerPoint if you click on this you can see you have Microsoft PowerPoint so all I have to do is it tells me have 19 pages I can click download so it's preparing the design and then when this is downloaded I'm just going to open it up in PowerPoint and you can see you can still add changes your transitions you can add animations to things you can still make the changes so it's downloaded to my computer I'm just gonna go ahead and click on it and open up PowerPoint here and you're gonna see the exact design so I could just spend a lot of times just making it perfect the way I want in canva then downloading it to PowerPoint or I can still make changes in here I'm just going to enable my editing and then you can see let me just close this button here you can see these are the different slides which I can still click in and change just type and change here with the same font I can go through change my images are still there but I've just saved a lot of time with these with this template adjusting it in canva and then downloading I can go back to canva make more changes to it too after i download it here but like I said you can if you wanted to add more things in here to individual animations you can be clicking on you know different objects in here go ahead animations do you want this to fly in and you can go through and make those adjustments you can add your transitions between different slides you do it the way you want but I just wanted to show you how to make a great-looking slide presentation for free using canva I hope this tip works for you if your if you're designing and if you're kind of bored of the templates that are just doing the PowerPoint try canva and try canva for a lot of other things that could save you a lot of time I hope you like this tip tonight I'll see you next time on teachers tech
