good evening to those in attendance and the millions tuning in welcome yes we see the signs yes we hear sirens and yes we see the science you have told us that we need to do something that urgent action is required but we regret to inform you that this won't be the Year we make a change that we turn things around we know we've let you down but there is still time it's not too late don't worry it's not too late to the leaders and decision makers attending the UN biodiversity conference what message will you deliver to the world make this the year that history is written take action to reverse biodiversity loss by the end of the decade we're watching you we're counting on you we're believing in you all 8 billion of us
