PDFelement Pro For Mac - Edit PDFs with Ease

hi there Jamie Keith here today a teachers tech hope you having a great day today I'm taking a look at PDF element pro by wondershare so I've done other videos before on this showing on Windows but today I'm on my Mac showing in case the Mac users didn't see this before this is a great app if you need if you're handling a lot of PDFs in a month and maybe you want to be creating fillable forms using OCR combining PDFs or converting it to maybe things like word or other things I'm going to show you some of my favorite features here today with PDF element Pro I'll put the links down below if you want to download it and check for discounts mentioned down below in beside the links to I just so you know this is a sponsored video to be completely transparent but I wouldn't be showing you this if I didn't think this was a great product so anyway let's get started on some of my favorite features on the Mac with the PDF element Pro

so when you first open up PDF element here you can see right here you'd see where the other files that you've worked on in the past but I'm just going to go ahead and open a new one here I'm just gonna load up this example brochure that I have so this is a PDF I just want to show you how quickly that you can mark it up or do some quick edits so if I was going to go over to mark up here you can see if I wanted to highlight I have some other options that I can quickly go through but I'm just going to show you the highlight and I can pick a color and then just highlight the sections that I want but I can also go and add or edit text quickly too so if I go and click on the text function at any time and then I click on a certain one I can go through and delete and then I can add a new title add this and then I can go through and start changing the font up top as you can see and the different size of it to get everything just the way you want now I can actually go through and even edit images I can take images out of this one I can scale them and I can move them around quickly so it makes it really easy to edit any PDFs that you already have so that's the first thing I just want you to bring your attention to was just how quickly you can edit PDFs that you already have saved on your computer but let's go on to something that if we wanted to create a form or something you can fill out another great

feature I like in PDF element is the how easy it is to create PDF fillable form so for example I'm just gonna go ahead and open up a form a PDF one just a sample job application and you'll be able to see I can't type in any of these places through here I can't hit any check boxes on it I would have to print this out and fill it out by hand or either scan it back in but what I can do in PDF element is if I go to form here I can quickly make this a fillable form so if I need it text boxes I can go through and hit text box here I can draw a text box in I can move it around make sure I get it right I could resize it rescale it I can add go through the whole form and get it to the way I want I can preview at any time so if I was writing anything in putting my last name you can see how I can start to fill it out other things I can do I'll just go back to edit you can see I can quickly add a checkbox so if I needed to add some checkboxes here I'll add another one right beside it on it and I'll just hit preview and I can go back and change the size those but you can see now I have these checkboxes I can add some other neat features in here if you go through we have things from drop down list box a button and a digital signature so you can go through at the very end if you have a plot the spot where you want to assign it you can go and select this digital signature and put a place for someone to sign so if you're sending this to somebody or maybe you're using it for yourself that you didn't feel like printing out and just wanted to put all the information in neatly you can go through and do all of that in PDF element very simply so then you can go through check it out preview it to make sure you get it all the way you want it fill out things or share with other people so they can fill it out so this is a great way I like to use PDF element

so let's move to the tool section here so I just want to show you some of the options that we have here and I'm gonna take a look more specifically at OCR but before I get to that look at all the different things we can do from PDF Converter OCR text recognition bates numbering add watermark add background add header footer batch and crypt combined PDF so many different features that you have in here so what I want to show you right now though is using the OCR feature so let's say you went to the photocopier supping in you scanned one and so you have a PDF but it's not anything editable so if I go ahead and I'm just gonna open up another file here so open and I'm gonna go to this scan one right here so it just asked and a piece of paper here I can't do anything to this but what I want to do now is perform OCR on this one so you can see right up here I have perform OCR I'm keep everything the same here you can see I do have different options if I didn't want to change the DPI but I'm gonna go ahead and hit perform OCR so it's going to go through this progress now and transfer it so I can actually edit this document that was a scan on it so as it opens up here I'm just going to hit open and you can see now it becomes a document where before so if I go over to my text tool I can start to actually edit inside here so if I wanted to delete something from the title you can see I can start editing and this was something that started from a scan so this is something I've put into the photocopier I can scan it and now I can edit it so this is something that you can save a lot of time that you don't have to retype things and it picks up things very very well on this so this is just an example to show the power and ease that you can use with PDF element Pro the last thing I want to

show you here today is just how easy it is to convert your file so if you had a PDF file you want to convert it to something else let me show you how this is done quickly so I'm just going to go back to tools here but now what I'm going to do is go to PDF converter so I'm going to go ahead click on this you can see my formats all the different ones I can change it to but I need to add a file first and I'm just gonna use the original file that I here it had this brochure 1 so I can go through pick the format the language the DPI I'll just leave it the same and I'm going to go ahead and hit apply and I'm gonna hit open on this one so it's going to just go ahead and convert it and then I'm gonna have you can see I have this Doc's right here that I can open inside my word folks that I have already on my Mac here so it does things very quickly very efficiently like I said if you are using a lot of PDFs in a month this could be a great program for you go ahead and check it out with the links below so there it is opened in word now and I can still edit through here too so that's all I have to kind of point out with this little tips with PDF element here tonight I hoped you liked this if you're a Mac user and if you were looking for something give it a try so thanks for watching NYX this week and I'll see you next time on teacher stack
