Should I Even Be in a Relationship

Can I be in a position when I shouldn't be in a relationship? I think there are many human beings on the planet who are not in a good position to be in a relationship. So, I work with a lot of people, you know, who have some kind of psychological difficulty. They have really low self-esteem, they feel like they're broken, behind in life. And something really interesting happens. So, if you feel like you are not worthy of a relationship, if you have some psychological hang-up, if you are aware that you have some psychological problem, you will often times feel like people who don't have problems are too good for you. So, then what you end up doing is you select for people who are broken in a different way, right? Cuz I'm I don't have my together, so I'm going to find somebody else who also doesn't have their together, because that way my the likelihood that they reject me actually goes down. This is like I'm sort of playing at my rank. So, they're almost creating these like self-sabotaging dynamics. There's even research that shows that one of the healthiest ways to heal your psychological difficulties is to be in a relationship with someone who is psychologically healthy.
