LinkedIn engagement patterns have shifted in 2026 — and if you're still posting at the same times as last year, you might want to rethink your schedule! 🤓 We analyzed 4.8 million posts and broke down the best times to post for every day of the week. Here's a quick look at what we found: → Late afternoons and evenings are now outperforming traditional working hours. → Wednesday at 4 p.m. is the single strongest slot of the entire week, and the Wednesday–Friday window is where you want your best content. → Mondays = lowest engagement of the week. → Weekends are also a bit quieter. If you can hold a post until mid-week, do it. 🌍 All the times in this video are localized, by the way — 4 p.m. means 4 p.m. wherever you are. Full day-by-day breakdown with the data behind it (plus how to set your posting schedule automatically) in the long version on our channel.

Segment 1 (00:00 - 02:00)

LinkedIn has changed in 2026, or at least the way people are engaging with content on there has. And that is according to the 4. 8 million posts that we analyzed. We've been running best time to post analyses for almost 3 years at Buffer, and honestly, this is the first time that LinkedIn has been the platform to surprise me. The LinkedIn engagement patterns that we're seeing in 2026 are noticeably different from what we found last year and in 2024, which were pretty similar. And if you're a creator or a brand, you should absolutely factor this into your LinkedIn content strategy. So, let's get into the specifics. Here are the top posting times for each day of the week on LinkedIn straight from our latest data. I'm also going to tell you the top three times to post overall. On Monday, the top slot is 10:00 p. m., which I'll admit surprised me quite a bit, followed by 5:00 p. m. and then 9:00 p. m. That said, Monday overall sees the lowest engagement of the entire week, so I would treat it as a warm-up day and not the day to post your most important content. Then on Tuesday, 4:00 p. m. is your best bet with 5:00 p. m. close behind and 10:00 p. m. also worth testing. Tuesday is still a bit slow compared to midweek, but trending in the right direction. Now, here's where the week gets interesting. On Wednesday, 4:00 p. m. isn't just the best slot of the day, it is the highest performing time of the entire week. 3:00 p. m. and 5:00 p. m. also round out a really strong afternoon window. If you only post on LinkedIn one day of the week, definitely try posting on a Wednesday. Then on Thursday, 5:00 p. m. leads the day with 7:00 p. m. and 9:00 p. m. both holding up really well. Thursday evening is another great time block to aim for in your posting schedule. On Friday, 3:00 p. m. is your strongest slot followed by 4:00 p. m. and then 5:00 p. m. Friday actually performs better than most people might expect. In fact, 3:00 p. m. and 4:00 p. m. on Fridays are the second and third best slots of the entire week. On Saturday and Sunday, both days see noticeably lower engagement than most weekdays apart from Monday, Tuesday. you have the flexibility to hold a post until a weekday, definitely do that. But if you absolutely need to post on a Saturday, 9:00 a. m. is your best shot. Sunday's strongest slot is actually 10:00 p. m., which reads to me as the Sunday night scroll and catch-up before the week kicks in. I hope you found this data helpful. Remember, you can set up your posting schedule in Buffer to automatically use these times, so you pretty much never have to think about it. Find out how to do that in the link below or in our bio.
