Why Great Teams Beat Great Training

Let me explain what that means. Listen, you can have great training, but you have the wrong people, and what you have is exhaustion as a leader. But, if you have great training and you have the right people, you have market domination like our team, baby. So, we put on a competition. We have a new platform. It's a software that can predict exactly what a salesperson is going to do before a salesperson is even hired. It makes the hiring process ridiculously smooth and it's changing companies all over the planet. But, we put this competition out, and you know, when it's competitive, who's coming up to play. So, we competed, we went after it. We had some of the relationships that just grew like no other. Some of our best clients got on the platform. We had a super high retention rate. That was part of hitting the competition was they had to grow, number one, we had to take some top performers, enter them into their organization. Their P& Ls grew like a FREAKING ROCKET SHIP, FAST AS LAMBORGHINI SPEED, BABY. And they had to stay on the platform for a certain amount of time to indicate that they were really, really truly winning. And me and my brother had the highest rate of customers that stayed, grew, and the most amount of A players come into their organization. So, that's how we won it. But, I want to tell you guys something. The most important thing that you can do in your life is find the right people to work for. And I'm super grateful to the Elliott Group and what we've designed over the last years because whether it was a Lambo or not a Lambo, we really truly work for one of the best companies in the entire world. Like it is a life-changing company. We're out here impacting lives, changing lives. But most importantly, too, we're not just changing the world's lives, we're also changing our lives. You see my family around here, you see our kids around here. We all go to church together. Culture isn't built in the office, it's built outside of the office. And we have the best team in the world. The Truth About Leadership & A-Players

Group. The way we work, the way we talk, the way we treat each other, the core values, the way we show up for each other, our families. Like all of that matters. But most importantly, we have the right people, and that is not by mistake. When we first got into the company, we knew the standards that we wanted. We knew what we were going after. We wanted a culture of loyalty, a culture of high performance, a culture of people that you didn't have to beg to be great, but already intrinsically had the motivation to be great. Nothing's more frustrating as an A player to work in a company that has a ton of C players and B players, okay? We've got the A players. So, the coaching that we're putting out there is the actual thing that we're truly living, which most people just can't be able to say that. So, I'm grateful to win the Lamborghini. This is a freaking dream come true, but what is also my first dream come true is we actually have the company that we say we have, we actually have the people and 5-6 years ago when we were first starting the company, we knew what this would look like. We knew what it would what it would feel like. We knew what this would feel like, and I just pray that every leader out there knows that they're a couple hires away from actually truly having the life that they want. There's a lot of people that have the right product. They got an amazing product. They could change the world with their product, but they just don't have the leadership. They don't have the team. And leadership isn't something you just slap on a mug and call done and say you're a leader. Leadership is a set of skills. You're able to get something out of somebody that they can't get out of themselves. You see some of our top performers. You see me today. I was a nobody. I had somebody that reached into my heart and they could see the potential, and they got the potential out of me, and that's what a true leader is. They get the potential out of somebody that sometimes they can't even see for themselves. So, thank you to Andy and Jackie. Thank you to Jonathan for the leadership, and I'm super excited where this platform is going. Last thing I'm going to say, we would fly all around the world to companies, and we'd walk in. Say there was 50 sales people. We'd see four or maybe five that were totally committed to being there. The other 10 were just speed bumps. Managers, you're never going to have a life if that's your sales team, by the way. The other 10 people, they never should have even been there. So, we went on a mission to figure out like, how do we solve the biggest problem in business, which is not the marketing, it's not the buildings, it's not the inventory. Those things are important, and those things matter, and those things can be sometimes hard, but the most important thing and the hardest thing to solve was getting the right people on the bus, which we did with the system that we're using today. And now other leaders can use it, too, so that they can go make their dreams come true, and they can feel what it feels like to have a dream team like we have today. So, thank you.
