Segment 1 (00:00 - 01:00)

If you're struggling to make progress in the gym because of a busy schedule, I guarantee that what I'm about to say is going to change that for you. So, here's my top three tips for making progress in the gym despite everything else you've got going on in your life. Tip number one, maximize efficiency. This counts for my professional life, my personal life, and definitely for my gym life. When I'm in the gym, I have to be lasered in to get the max benefit out of whatever time I do have. Now, oftentimes my training sessions are max 45-50 minutes in a good week is three sessions in the gym. That can become really hard to do when it's just yourself working uphill. So, consider a gym buddy, great. A personal trainer who knows what they're doing, even better. Number two, consistency is everything. It's not about having some big dramatic power lifts, it's about getting in the gym and moving with a purpose. The key to me is not about how powerful my session is, it's how often I can show up and show up in a meaningful way where I get something out of that training session. And I've never come out disappointed from a training session because I know I'm going to put in the work. Tip number three, it's all about intentionality. How you eat, how you move, how you recover. If you're wanting to get the most out of the least, everything has to be optimized. Using hormone optimization strategies, ensuring nutrition is dialed in, and ensuring that your recovery sessions are really meaningful. And tip number four, here's the bonus, move and move intentionally. I used to believe if I'm not getting in an hour or two-hour session in the gym, the day was a bust. Now, I take the stairs and I'm very thankful my office is on the seventh floor. Now, I do air squats regularly, every hour, after every meal. Those intentional movement sessions actually have a better cumulative effect over time in performance and output than any one mega session in the gym.
