So, one of the easiest things that you can do if you want to improve your health is to do one thing, and that is to get up in the morning and get outside and get bright light before 9:00 in the morning. And there's two reasons for that. Number one is that cortisol, which is sort of the grease that makes things work well, lubricates it well, gets you up in the morning, gives you the energy, that cortisol usually spikes early in the morning physiologically. And early morning sunlight is going to reinforce that and make it much better. So, what happens when you don't do that, when you don't get that bright sunlight exposure in the morning is cortisol sort of happens all throughout the day. And it's not healthy to have that cortisol throughout the day because that can lead to problems with metabolism. Not only that, it can also interfere with melatonin secretion in the evening time, right before bed, which helps you fall asleep. So, getting up and having good sunlight exposure in the morning is going to do wonders for your day. It's also going to help you sleep better at night. So, if you're having difficulty falling asleep at night and just getting into bed and falling asleep easily, one of the best things that you can do is to get bright early morning sun exposure. And what does that mean practically? It means getting outside. It means getting into the sunlight. Don't look at the sun, but have that sunlight exposed to your body. You really want to have that early in the morning. Don't wear sunglasses. If you have to wear eyeglasses, that's perfectly fine. Contacts are perfectly fine. You're not going to get this inside your home. You're going to have to go outside. It's not coming through the glass, not turning on the lights in your house. That's not going to do it. You need to get outside. It's much, much brighter outside than it appears to your eyes than it is inside your home. So, remember to do this. Um if you are in a situation where you're getting up in the morning and you've got to go to work and the sun is not up, then you may want to look into getting a 10,000 lux light box for $20, that you can get online uh in any kind of online store.
