Segment 1 (00:00 - 01:00)

I wake up to a little bit of drool on my pillow feel like it's going to be a bad day. Yeah, I'm tired as and the coffee ain't hit yet. Damn ain't that great. I don't want to go to work cuz my boss — It's not that he's wrong. Obviously, if you're a beginner, you should focus on proper form. I mean, I've spent the last 15 years on YouTube teaching you guys proper form on every exercise, but that's where things can become a bit misleading. I've used the same exact form that he's showing to be bad when I get towards the end of my sets and I'm trying to do maybe a forced rep or push through the concentric phase and focus on a heavy negative because I don't have a spotter. You guys can't be afraid to break proper form. That's probably going to be one of the biggest things that'll hold you back as you progress in the gym. If you become so infatuated with absolute perfect form on every single repetition. So, here's what I suggest that you do, especially if you're just coming out of the beginner phase, you have good mind-muscle connection, and you have a handle on all the exercises that you're training with in the gym. If you're trying to get six to eight repetitions and you want to really push yourself to try to overcome a plateau, focus on really good form for at least the first four, five, or six, and when you get to seven and eight, hopefully at that time you're fatigued cuz you're lifting heavy enough weight, then it's okay to break your form a bit in order to push through those last final reps, especially if you don't have a spotter. And if you guys need a little extra help with proper form, just go to the exercise database on my website muscularstrength. com. You can literally just pick the muscle groups you want to train and every single video I've ever created for every exercise for that muscle group will pop up.
