Stop your cable chest flies like this if you want to lose those sacky bitch tits and instead get a superhero chest like the Trojanator. This cable is way too wide and puts way too much strain on the shoulders. So instead do this. You should instead use a dual cable machine that's closer together. You should set it to above head heights. If you struggle to get it down, the motion I like to do is row and then over. Take one big step out. Don't stand up straight cuz you need stability. You need to lean all your weight on this front leg and this way your shoulders are going to be in a less hurtful position and you can drive your elbows in together. What a lot of people do is they focus on bringing the hands together and they're like this doing half reps. A quick key, you're supposed to fully lengthen your chest but also fully shorten it. This is not shortened where this is. So if you focus on bringing your elbows together, much more better squeeze. And if you want more content like that, be sure to drop the page of fall. So your solution is to turn a cable chest fly into a cable chest press. Hey, you know, maybe it's just me, but I actually prefer this machine for the very reason that I can get a much deeper stretch with a slight bend in my elbows to maintain the actual fly movement as I'm performing the exercise. Guy is literally telling you to go over to the other cable machine and then turn the movement into a cable press versus doing an actual cable fly. Like, are you guys seeing the difference between the movements here going like this, doing a press versus doing an actual fly where there's adduction of your arms? Like, it just like these kids, I don't know what they're thinking when they make their videos. And it's unfortunate because you guys are the ones that are getting ALL OF THIS BAD ADVICE that's going to hold back your gains in the gym. And to drive the point home even more, guys, I do have the other cable machine. So, let me show you proper form. First of all, don't do this to get into position because when you start lifting actual heavy weight, it's not going to work out good for you. Get on top of it, move over, and then step forward. Now you're in the starting position. And even with these more narrow cable arms, I can still get outstretched like this, get a deep stretch in my chest, and come to the front and do my flies. Again, this is what a cable fly looks like. What he is telling you to do is a cable press. They're two different exercises. Both activate the chest, but if your goal is cable flies, slight bend in the elbow and adduct your arms and bring your hands together at the front.
