Remove Unwanted Ads on Google Chrome

hi there Jamie ke here uh today I'm going to take a look at how to uh clean your Chrome up if you're having a little problem with ads and how to remove Those ads um if they're in extension form uh you can have other types of adware and everything on your computer that would be a little bit different fix than this but what I've noticed over the last few weeks is I I've had some students bring their uh computers or Chromebooks and different ones to me and they've had problems with ads popping up uh when using Google Chrome so to get rid of

this the first step I would say to do is go up to your three little hot dogs up here and click on them and I want you to go to more tools and then uh what I want you to do at that point is go to extensions and this will open up all your extensions that you have had uh installed or even the ones that you didn't even know you installed and this is where some of the ad bars and everything pop up on um and then sometimes you do see them here so if you happen to see one what you can do is delete it uh just by hitting the little garbage can here and hit remove and it will disappear

uh so another thing though is not all the extensions that are causing their problems so the ads might not show up here so what you're going to have to do is go to uh the three little hot dogs again and then this time go to your settings and scroll all the way down to the bottom where it says show advanced settings and then again keep going to the very bottom and you'll see where it says reset settings here so this one here um is what I found if I couldn't find them in the extension list I go to here and I hit the reset but do be uh a little worry if you uh if you don't want to lose some of your settings that you've had um so make sure you can't find them in the extensions for so if you click the little learn more here uh Google the support will kind of show you what settings change uh changes will be cleared uh you can see like your cookies and site data will be cleared your extension and themes will be disabled uh and they give a list of different things that kind of if you have it set up it will bring your Chrome browser back to kind of uh the original way you had it uh so just make sure you know U that's kind of a last resort but when I've used that with the kids on the Chromebook it hadn't didn't cause them many problems after I reset it because most of them didn't have a lot of things installed uh in it anyway if the problems still persist after that uh it's probably something installed on your computer uh so that's a little bit different fix uh than this one but this is how you uh remove your ads from just your Chrome browser through extension so I hope you like this little tip today and you did uh please subscribe my channel for more weekly updates thanks for watching
