Google Slides - Image Mask [How to]

hi I'm Jam M with teacher Tech tips and today we're going to take a look at image masking in Google Slides uh so what image masking is when you can kind of change the shape of the image that you insert so um I've been trying to figure out how to do this in Google slides and then I was looking at uh one of their great new templates that they have in Google slides and I noticed well they had circles across here uh so what I did to check to see if there was an image masking or not something they created and brought in I just uh right click and reset and I could see oh that was originally a square so I started looking all around and what I discovered was that through the help menu um I'm just switching over to a couple images I've inserted here so

if I select on H Darth here if I go up to the help menu and then I just start typing in image masking and then you notice a bunch of things come up here uh and I can even type a shape if I want and it even gives me more so if I select this one the mask is applied to the image very easily I can still move it around uh I can resize it still by dragging the uh the corners on it I can rotate uh just like normally and if I wanted to undo it just hit undo uh so again uh I'll just grab this picture of my twins here uh if I select it and I go back up to my help menu and then I type in image mask and this time I'm going to type in well I'll just show you can you have clouds you have I'll choose the cloud so very easy to um add an image mask and what I like about them it can add um a lot of uh make your slideshows uh a lot more interesting so just like in this uh slide that they used in their template it looked made it look a lot more professional just by changing uh it to the circular shapes so uh that's image masking inside Google Slides I hope you like this little Tech tip and if you uh like these Tech tips please subscribe to my channel to get uh weekly ones thanks for watching
