eBay Dropshipping Q&A #3

what's up fellow chippers today is Tuesday which means that it's time for another Q& A this week's Q& A I actually did live on Facebook but I recorded it so I'm uploading it here I really like doing it live so I'm going to be doing it live on YouTube next week Tuesday the 13th at 8 p. m. Eastern Time so tune in for that if you want to make sure that you don't miss that make sure to subscribe and sign up for the alerts it's a little bell at the underneath near the description you'll get an alert on your phone as soon as we're alive next week so you'll be able to tune in but even if you miss it it'll still be recorded it'll still be on YouTube after that but you can ask questions live and we'll answer them in real-time otherwise you can leave some questions in the comments of any of our videos and we'll be sure to answer them make sure to also stick around to the end of this video because I have a special announcement but for now here is the Q& A was what was our listing limit when we started drop shipping on ebay so we had an old account that we had bought items on ebay from before so when we started out our listing limit was 50 instead of most people only yet about 10 when they start so having 50 definitely helped so if you're just starting out and you have an account that used to buy stuff with check what the listing limit is on that or see if maybe a family member or friend has an old account because it might have a higher listing limit on it how do you start how much ads have you wasted we don't spend money on ads for eBay dropshipping how to hire virtual assistants the short answer is that we go to upwork. com it's really easy to use you can sort by what area you want to buy you want to hire people from so Asia or America or the Middle East wherever you want your virtual assistants to come from you can change how much you're gonna pay them rather filter and also look at all their experience that they had from before you started hiring and you can find some great virtual assistants on there I'll probably do a more in-depth video about that because finding the right VA is really hard if you don't know what you're doing but the short answer is that we use up work we've had a lot of success with it zane wants to know how we mark the products if not spending money on ads we just sell on ebay that's it and people come to ebay to buy stuff they know when they come there and I to ebay that they're ready to buy already so eBay is the one that really does the you know the process of bringing people in and I just have to sell them at the right time which is right then because they're ready to buy Gregg wants to know if I've listed items on Amazon yet yeah so Gregg was helping me kind of figure out how to drop ship onto Amazon which is something that we were trying a couple weeks ago we kind of screwed it up because we didn't know what we were doing but yeah he's helping us but we're gonna start doing that real soon we just want to kind of get through some of this holiday season first BK five to six wants to know what software we use to dropship so I'll put a link in the description below of all the software we use but we use SKU grid to reprice our items we use hydra lister to list our items and we use tracker bot which automatically uploads tracking numbers from our gmail on to ebay so we don't have to do that manually what are the best types of products to sell anything really you just go on Amazon go on a Bay see what people are buying everything online if someone can sell it online that means you so whaling wants to know do you list items even if you get charged a listing fee so I assume what you mean is that you know you get a certain number of free listings every month if you have a higher store like a like an anchor store you can list more for free but anchor store obviously costs more so listings at first are 30 cents each and when you get a subscription they're about 10 cents each or 5 cents each so yeah I still list them even if I've gone over my free listings because I think the more items you have listed the more you're gonna sell okay I had a message on YouTube from DM he wants to know what Home Depot's return policy is he's asking me because we use Home Depot a lot for all of our orders so Home Depot

is a great return policy most of their products can be returned within 90 days of delivery you have to check each item description on their website it will tell you if it's 30 days 60 days 90 days usually it's 90 days and they'll take it back for anything they'll actually pay to have it shipped back to them and they'll even have UPS come pick it up from your customer so that the customer doesn't have to drive out to UPS to drop it off themselves which customers really like if customers hate the hassle of going to a UPS store and dropping it off so it really makes things easier and makes your customers like you more um on eBay you really don't have to upload a tracking number you have a tracking number uploaded percentage how many have uploaded on time if you upload all of them on time you get a hundred percent if you're late it drops down and down that does not affect your eBay metrics you'll still get ranked well on eBay even if your numbers low eBay doesn't care about it but you'll get a lot of customers saying where's my order they can give you bad feedback saying I never received a tracking number and that in feedback is valid because they never received a tracking number and also yes for PayPal or if the customer comes back and says I never received the item even if they did if you have the tracking number uploaded then you Bey will see that and PayPal you won't get you won't have to refund the buyer Devon wants to know what my handling time is for dropshipping so an eBay we do a three-day handling time unless we know that the product is for some reason takes longer to ship out and that's based on experience really some items just take longer and we have to then change the handling time for that item what to do John wants to know what to do if an item is out of stock at your supplier so from your supplier it really does stink but the best thing to do is to first try to find it somewhere else from another supplier so let's say it's a screwdriver from Home Depot you can look on Lowe's for the home for the screwdriver you can look on Amazon and Walmart see if anyone else has a screwdriver if they don't then you have a couple options one you can contact the customer and say you know we're sorry this item was actually out of stock or it was destroyed somehow is broken so we can ship you out a similar item if you want or we can cancel a sale and see what they say another thing you could try is just saying it's out of stock or is destroyed somehow and we don't have any more in stock right now do you want us to cancel a sale or do you want to wait till it comes back in the stock or what you can try is just shipping them another item without asking them so if it's just a generic screwdriver maybe you can find another one that looks similar and shipped them that one instead the only thing that you do not ever want to do is to cancel the sale and when you put the reason for it as out of stock or item was damaged when you canceled a sale you always want to put buyer ask to cancel the sale even if it's not true because otherwise it looks bad for eBay it messes up your metrics so try one of those techniques the last one I gave you about just shipping them the wrong item without letting them know some people have success with that I've tried it I've had bad success with it bad luck with it because the buyers don't like it it's a hassle to have to go through the return the best thing you could do is communicate with your buyer I wouldn't tell them that you're a drop shipper it was out of stock when they bought it I would just kind of come up with some good sounding excuse apologize and try to make it right for them and that usually works alright guys thanks for watching that if you liked it please give it a thumbs up and subscribe to our channel if you want to see more content like this is just a reminder that next week on Tuesday the 13th at 8 p. m. we're going to be doing this live on YouTube so make sure to subscribe so that you don't miss that also another announcement in a few weeks chad is going to be sitting down with a lawyer to answer any questions you guys might have about know whether dropshipping is legal about LLC's and business formations partnerships things like that so if you have any questions that you might want to ask a lawyer about drop shipping or e-commerce leave
