Intro

do you ever feel like you're just working on autopilot doing work you don't even care about for reasons you can't even explain every day I was solving stakeholder problems rather than my own being the perfect little worker bee and as more of those days stacked up the more that realization began to sting then something inside me shifted the fear of staying the same became greater than the fear of leaving so I quit now I work solo traveling the world and building my own startups and today I want to share with you the signs that led me to that decision because if you're noticing them too this video might be a wakeup call to take some

Reasons that led me to quit my tech job and start working solo

action now I want to break down the key reasons that led me to quit my job and start working solo the first reason and probably the most common one was that I started to lose the passion I once had for my job when you first start a job it often feels like a honeymoon phase everything is shiny exciting and full of possibility but over time that excitement Fades and routine sets in I remember the exact moment I realized I had stopped caring I was in yet another meeting discussing a project that no one not even the project managers seem passionate about it was another one of those projects that had to be done just to take a box by the end of the Sprint and the work itself wasn't terrible but it felt robotic like I was just a cog in a machine that didn't care about me my ideas or my creativity I realized that I could keep hopping from job to job endlessly searching for the perfect role but deep down I knew no job would give me the sense of purpose I was craving the kind that comes from building something of your own another reason was the growing feeling of being underappreciated I was putting in extra hours solving difficult problems and going above and beyond what was expected but the recognition was either minimal or non-existent it made me realize that I was giving all to a company that didn't even value my contributions I wanted to be in a position where the effort I put in directly benefited me and those I care about not just the people in the sea Suite who don't even know my name I also found myself craving more autonomy I wanted the freedom to make decisions and truly feel like my own boss my days were filled with tasks assigned by others and I had little to no say in what I worked on even when I had ideas that genuinely improve processes or outcomes they were often dismissed or buried under layers of bureaucracy I wanted the freedom to take risks make decisions and learn from my own mistakes rather than just following orders and the final Turning Point came when I raised my own standards and aspirations I didn't want my life to revolve around churning out tickets or hitting quarterly metrics I wanted more from my career than just doing work for someone else's Vision it was like I was stuck in a system that rewarded mediocrity rather than ambition and that was not a life I saw for myself now before we wrap up let me make one thing clear this video is not meant to persuade you to quit your job and start from scratch if you genuinely enjoy your job and feel fulfilled that's amazing consider yourself lucky but if you are working a job that you don't care about and deep down you know there is something bigger out there for you something that excites you challenges you and brings you more fulfillment then maybe it's time to trust that inner feeling and take the first step it might be scary and uncertain but those feelings are often the price of growth the biggest rewards come from the boldest moves and sometimes taking that leap is the only way to discover what you're truly capable of so that's what led me to leave my 9 to5 and start working solo but enough about me I want to hear from you are you feeling stuck underappreciated or craving something more if any of this resonates with you drop a comment and share your experience I read every comment and you never know your story might just Inspire someone who's on the fence about making a change quick plug I just launched a new Discord
