Intro

Hello YouTube. Bit of a random place to start a vlog, but I'm currently in Seoul. I've been contemplating doing this video, starting YouTube for a while. So, I get up this trail. Got a spike of dopamine. dopamine and then just decided it uh why not start it right now. Better now than never. So, yeah. What am I doing here in Seoul? I'm basically just here indiehacking and uh building my company slash software and hopefully be self sustainable whilst I'm out here and traveling. Isn't that amazing? Recently I quit my job um working as a developer and decided to go indie to go solo. Yeah. currently building an extension for chat GPT. I'll probably overlay a clip just showing you what it does quickly or leave it leave a link in the description. And you might be asking, why would you quit your comfortable, stable, full-time job to something that's not stable, something that you have to manage all by yourself and grow and hopefully make a living from? The answer is I want to be free financially. financially free, location free, work on stuff that I like and I think it's bad timing as well uh considering the current job market where people are struggling to look for jobs and then I'm here just quitting mine. Look at this. So peaceful, so calm. Anyway, keep getting distracted. But um yeah. Oh yeah. Why did I quit my stable 9 toive job? lack of enjoyment. Wanted to be financially free. Well, finance-wise, it probably wasn't the smartest thing to do, but um wanted to be location free as well. Now, here I am. Just arrived in Korea, Seoul, uh a week ago, nearly a week ago. Still adapting and trying to get used to everything. Someone working out right behind me jumping rope in the middle of the street. Goal of these videos is just something for me to look back on for now, I guess. And I know there are people doing the same thing. They are nomading across the world and working from their laptops, not needing a boss to tell them what to do, not needing to go to an office. I guess I've joined the club. I'll show you what I what I've learned on software development side, on business side, on marketing side, on my projects. I'm the only person working on them. Yeah. So, I have to do everything. If I learn if I can learn anything and teach you guys anything, then that would be a bonus. Getting a bit cold now, actually. Yeah, I've been thinking about this whole YouTube channel for way too long. If you guys are in the same position, this is your call to action. Just do it today. If it's at night, do what I did. Go out for a walk. bring your camera, get a sweat on, and then hopefully you're in the mood to talk and then it just goes from there. I've been just in my head about starting this channel or what do I say? Am I even going to be valuable? Everyone has a different journey. Everyone has unique circumstances they go through, and I'm sure they can teach at least one thing. Anyways, got

my laptop in my backpack. So, my original plan was to go to a one of those 24-hour cafes. I heard they're popular here in Soul. Just get some work done there. I do have a backlog of stuff that needs to get done for the extension. Put in the grind for a few hours. There's people here working on their laptops. 350 m away. We'll go to that one. That's still the closest one. You're not walking, but you can try and take the subway. Subways are not running. Which bus am I supposed to take? I think I think my bus is there. Over there. This is another thing about Korea. They run for the green lights because they take forever. They take forever to turn green. Made it. Don't tell me I'm not in the right place. I don't know if I'm in the right spot or not. I don't think this is right. Apparently, some routes are closed. Jesus, it's taking forever. Oh my god, I'm so confused. So, we need 2015. Is that the bus number? If it's not here, I'm going home. I've been here like three times already. I don't think it's here. You see this road? I've crossed this like four times already. feel a bit silly. So, the story is I have to take two buses and the green line, which is bus 2015, not showing up on the timet. This is a result of poor planning, being overly spontaneous, and not knowing Korean transport system that well. So, I think might call it a night, walk home. Actually, I might get some food. Let's go on a walk home and then call this a night. Oh, unsuccessful trip. Go back. You know, it main event former undisputed bantamweight champion and now the number one off his opponent tomorrow unleash relationship. What? Beef or what? Yeah. Yeah. Right. Beef tastes different. It's so beefy. Do you know what I mean now? Right. Literally doesn't taste like pretty.

Gym workout

All right, bit of a late start today, but I'm going to head to the gym. I think it's like 3:00 p. m. right now. Get a quick workout doing upper body and after that, come home, eat, do some work at home. I think today is to record some tutorial videos for the extension. So, probably just going to sit in my room, get it done, and then and upload them on YouTube so people can get a better idea of how to use the extension. But yeah, that's the plan. Let's go. Hey, Damn. Heat. Heat. I don't know. Hey there. I love you.

Demo of my startup

So, today didn't go quite As planned, I set out to record YouTube tutorials for my extension, but ended up handling some bug reports from our support emails. Turns out three critical bugs were flagged by users, and they were all caused by the updates from Chat GBT's latest canvas feature. But anyway, let me quickly show you how the extension actually works and why I built it in the first place. This extension started as a simple way for me to organize my chats in chatbt, but it quickly grew as I added more features I needed whilst using chatbt daily. One of the key features is folders for organizing conversations, so you can neatly group related chats into topics. Then there is chat history search, a simple tool to quickly find any chat in your history, no matter how far back it is. I also built chat bookmarks so you can easily access your most important chats. And finally, prompts manager, which allows you to create and save your own custom prompts, so you can easily reuse them anytime. Oh, and all of this also works for Claude. Right now, the extension has over 10,000 users and is continuing to grow daily. My goals for this extension will be to scale it to a 5 figure monthly recurring revenue and eventually work towards my first startup exit. Why do I talk like a robot? Jesus Christ. But yeah, that's it for today. I'm just a guy with a laptop exploring new places, building my startups, and sharing my journey. If that sounds interesting to you, feel free to subscribe for more videos like these, and I'll see you in the next one. Bye-bye.
