NEW Gemini 3.0 UPDATE: Personal Intelligence Changes EVERYTHING 🤯

For the last few years, everybody's known that ChatGpt has worn the crown for being known as the AI with the most personalization because it had the best memory. But Google just took that crown tonight with the release of personal intelligence. Personal intelligence is a new feature rolling out to Gemini users all over the US right now who have Gemini AI Pro accounts. It's not available for workspace accounts and it's not available outside the US yet, but it will be rolling out to additional countries in the coming weeks. And this is more than just the typical connecting Google and which chat GBT can even do. This is giving Gemini persistent access to those services so that it can use a process called context packing to search for and understand intricate details and data points across your different Google services to personalize your experience and your responses from Gemini. So head over to gemini. google. com and then click on the gear icon in the bottom left corner. Scroll up to where it says personal intelligence and you'll see that you can turn on past chats. And what this does is it allows Gemini to understand more about you and your goals based on your past chats. So this is retroactive and I'm going to tell you right now, it works really fast and it works really well. So even if you just turn on past Gemini chats and you don't connect any apps and you don't add any instructions, you're still going to see an immediate improvement to Gemini's responses and the personalization that you receive. The second thing is connected apps. Now, we already know that you could connect the workspace apps, but like I said, personal intelligence uses this differently. So, you can connect Gmail, calendar, drive, docs, keep, and task. And when you think about the fact that you're able to use Google Docs to intentionally store information that you want Gemini to remember or to contextualize your chats. This just blows my mind away. There is no way that OpenAI or Claw can ever compete with this. For years, I and others have been posting videos about workarounds, virtual private servers, MCP servers, using notion, and other tools to try to create these libraries where we can store data to contextualize our experience with AI. But Google has given us a clean, native, intuitive, and frictionless experience so that all of those other methods are obsolete now. [clears throat] You just don't need them anymore. But you can also give Gemini access to your photos, your services, YouTube, and YouTube Music. And there are some other non- Googlele services that you can connect to Gemini as well. And if you have any concerns about privacy, you don't have to use your primary Gmail account. You probably have 200 of them. Just grab one, sign up, and then use that one. And if you have any photos that you want to upload to Gemini, you can choose which photos you want to upload. Right now, I'm experimenting with uploading photos of myself just to see if I can tell it to create a thumbnail of me later on without me uploading a photo in the chat like I'm doing right now. But this next part is probably my most favorite because in my opinion, this is the most powerful. Now, this one says instructions for Gemini. customized Gemini responses like use bullet points for long paragraphs and I get that's what it says but once you go inside of here you get so much more than that. So, when you come in here, I've been able to copy and paste several paragraphs of data that's important for the way I use AI, information about my business, information about my personal life, what I can and can't do, and so forth. And it has really personalized my experience with Gemini in just a few short moments after I uploaded this data. Now, something that I did is as I was copying and pasting, I kept thinking, okay, well, when is Google going to tell me that I've hit a limit? and I never hit the limit. And I'm not going to show you everything, but just know I was sitting here copying and pasting for a very long time giving Gemini details about my life and things that I wanted to know. And if it seems like I'm a little bit excited about this update, it's because there are two major problems that I always saw with Gemini that a lot of people didn't see. And I thought it was because they were either just hyping up Gemini or they just didn't recognize it. But one of them is the response length of Gemini. I noticed that with long or complex queries, Gemini would always come back with a short response or some type of summary where when what it should have been doing was giving you this long detailed output which chat GPT is still great for. Another problem that I was having with Gemini is that it had the occasion to drift away from the instructions, and it still does in a very long run. But I was able to install a couple of different prompts right here, or instructions for Gemini that immediately improved the response length, at least in my opinion. And secondly, it improved its ability to

stick to instructions in a step-by-step format, even though it did drift a little bit once the conversation got very long. And that's to be expected. It was easy to pull it back on track and then follow the instructions again as it's supposed to. When you click on the for you, it's going to make suggestions for you. Help me find new ways to use AI in my work. Suggest some quick dinner ideas for a busy school night. Stay up to date on the latest AI news. Help me find some fun school lunch ideas for my kids. And so this is perfect. After you set up your personal intelligence, at the very top of the message bar, they're going to give you the option to see a personal snapshot of what Gemini thinks about you. And Gemini gave me a very accurate snapshot of what it thought about me. But I had to test it and see if it actually performed because all of this stuff looks good on the surface, but how does it stand up with realworld tests and real world activities? And one of the first things I asked Gemini to do was to write a follow-up email to one of my children's teacher. And I didn't give it any context to see if it could go through my Gmail, find the specific email because there are a couple of emails, but find the right one that I need to write a followup to. I didn't give it a date. I didn't give it anything. And Gemini found the right email, found the teacher's name, wrote the email, and the email was actually good and it was contextually accurate. It did a great job. A second thing I told it to do was to find an email course that I enrolled in from Callaway, another YouTuber. And at first, Gemini wouldn't pull the email course up because it said it was paid content and so forth. But I explained to Gemini that it was a free email course and basically you're retrieving the emails. And then Gemini went into my email. It found the content virality blueprint, a five-day email course by Callaway that I haven't had time to read. and it pulled it and it placed it in the chat just as I requested in full. And so I'm super excited and pumped for what I see Gemini doing because as powerful as I know this feature is, the thing that has me the most excited is the fact that it actually works. It's not halfbaked. It's actually good at what it does. And if you ask me, this is why Apple picked Google's Gemini to run their AI powered Siri coming this year, because they already knew that personal intelligence was coming. Because personal intelligence, for all intents and purposes, is the exact same thing that us iPhone users are going to be getting with Apple intelligence once they release it with Siri. It's just going to be with Apple products instead of being with Google products, but we're getting a taste of it now with Gemini's personal intelligence.
