UPDATE: Did Trump Just Save TikTok Shop Dropshipping? 🙏

so Trump just said something really crazy about the upcoming Tik Tock ban that I think quite frankly every American need to be paying attention to just because Tik Tok is so influential in the United States but in particular if you drop ship on Tik Tok you really want to pay attention to what he's saying because of course Tik Tok is a major platform to drop ship onto and this upcoming Ben can have some serious consequences if you are Drop Shipping there so just to catch everyone up before we get to this video and what he said if you didn't already know Tik Tok is due to be banned in the United States very shortly this was something that was done by the US government and Tik Tock has sued saying that what they're doing is unconstitutional it's against the first amendment that went through the district court it went through the appeals court and it's been completely upheld now it's going to the Supreme Court so Trump has some things to say about this um let's get into what he has to say and then we'll get more into sort of my analysis of where I think this is going to go we'll take a look at Tik Tock you know I have a warm spot in my heart for Tik Tock because I won youth by 34 points and that had an impact but Tik Tock had an impact and uh so we're taking a look at it but so previously Trump was kind of tough on Tik Tok he kind of had an anti- Tik Tock stance in the past but as we see right here he understands that Tik Tok was very helpful in getting him to uh be elected this time around and so he it's kind of warming up to the idea of Tik Tok so in that video we saw you know he's kind of softening to the idea of keeping Tik Tock around but in this next clip you'll just see how aggressive he is now about keeping Tik Tock around and how important he thinks it is you know we uh we did go on Tik Tock and we had a great response with billions of views billions and billions of views as I looked at it I said maybe we got to keep this sucker around a little while so you see in that he really obviously is a lot more Pro Tik Tock now um and as you'll see a minute that's not just a lot of talk for him he's actually taken action on it but just to kind of look at the timeline of events coming up on January 10th that's when the Supreme Court is going to hear the case uh that Tik Tock has brought against the United States um and the attorney general for this so that's happening on January 10th and that is only about a week and a couple of days before the 19th when the ban actually goes into effect now what the ban actually says is that the Tik Tock app is not allowed to be listed on the App Stores here in the United States both Apple and Android unless a US company buys it which at this point seems very unlikely just because it's a few weeks away now what's interesting is that happens on the 19th the next day the 20th is when Trump actually takes office so Trump can't do anything about this now he before the ban actually takes effect on the 19th so he's doing what he can in the position that he's in so he's filed to the Supreme Court what's called an amicus brief so basically what an amicus brief is uh Trump's not a party to this lawsuit right it's between Tik Tock and Mer Garland who is the Attorney General of the United States those are the two parties so Trump isn't a party to it but he has filed a brief anyway basically telling the court I read this whole thing for you so you don't have to read it but basically he he's saying a few things in here that I've highlighted first he's asking that the Supreme Court stays this ban in other words just delay it enough time for Trump to come into office because once he comes into office he wants to be able to negotiate a deal for Tik Tok in other words the sale of Tik Tok to a US company uh he really believes that he uh is one of the best negotiators out there he's a very successful businessman so he thinks that he is in the best position especially once he becomes president to actually negotiate this deal and have it go through and he actually highlights in this brief he's not hiding the fact that he likes Tik Tok and thought it was very important to his uh to his election he highlights that inside of this brief and also highlights the First Amendment claims here that banning Tik Tok would violate people's first amendments First Amendment rights um especially because so many people found him and voted for him because of Tik Tok he thinks that in particular is really important because getting rid a Tik Tok would then silence all of those voices so that's the argument that he's making um that

will uh maybe be considered by the Supreme Court maybe not now if we look at the current breakdown of the Supreme Court there's of course nine justices and three of them these three right here were all appointed by Trump so he definitely has a lot of I don't maybe you want to call it influence over the court because it's not only these three but there are also others who are big supporters of trump as well even if they haven't uh flat out said that it is pretty clear that they like a lot of his policy so maybe they will actually take this brief seriously and at least stay it long enough for Trump to come into office but this is definitely the biggest push forward we have seen so far the the most hopeful I have been so far about the Tik Tock shop sorry the Tik Tock ban and therefore the Tik Tock shop ban and I think Tik Tock is quite hopeful as well recently I was watching the new Star Wars show on Disney plus and I have the ad supported version of Disney plus so I do get the ads now when I was watching this an ad for Tik Tok came up and that's just a few weeks before the Tik Tok ban is supposed to taken to effect I think Tik Tok knows that they have a chance here a really good chance of continuing to exist in the United States I don't think they would be paying for ads so aggressively on such a prominent platform like Disney plus were it not for the fact that they know something a lot of times there's things happening behind the scenes that we don't quite see and I think that is the case for Tik Tok because they are still going full force forward they have not slowed down at all with either Tik Tock or with Tik Tock shop so I think there's a reason for that they know something behind the scenes that maybe we are not seeing in public or at least they're very hopeful about it now there are several people and several companies who have stated that they are willing to buy Tik Tok we got a lot of reports of that throughout 2024 and more recently we've seen some very serious offers from people or statements from people with a lot of money and a lot of influence and who would actually be able to make this work so for instance Frank mccort who is the former LA Dodgers owner has said that he you know he's a big advocate for internet reform he wants to actually purchase Tik Tok himself and he says that he will be able to do it without actually having to use the existing Tik Tok algor algorithm now that is important because one of the reasons that China sorry Tik Tok is so unwilling to actually sell Tik Tok themselves to a US company is because China has said that they will not allow the algorithm for Tik Tok to be sold to a US company and as we know a big part of Tik Tok and one of the reasons it is so successful and so addicting is because of the algorithm and of course I'm talking about Tik Tok here like watching videos but all of that ties into Tik Tock shop because the videos are used to sell products on Tik Tock shop and the videos attract people to the app which then gets them to purchase items on Tik Tock shop but this gentleman has said that he would be able to purchase Tik Tok make it work make it successful without needing that algorithm he would still be able to make it work which is a very good sign and that may be combined with Trump and actually negotiating the deal and being aggressive about it this might actually work and you might actually get a buyer in the United States probably definitely not by the 19th but if the stay goes into effect by the Supreme Court it could definitely happen in the weeks or months after that if Trump makes it a priority and everything kind of falls into place so what does this mean for Tik Tock shop well as I said before Tik Tok is still aggressively pushing Tik Tock and Tik Tok shop because it works so well it is one of the most powerful way to sell products online if we look right here we can see that there will be or there's predicted that there were over 100 million social buyers in the United States in 2024 and most of that is coming from Tik Tok and that is exactly what I've been talking about on this channel for years now ever since Tik Tock shop Drop Shipping came out it kind of takes Drop Shipping and any sort of com Commerce to the next level because it doesn't rely on traditional means of selling products traditional marketing it's taking advant of something brand new which is this social viral aspect to social media combined with Commerce in a very unique way so we're going to see more and more of this is going to continue to grow no matter what going into the future but of course if Tik Tock gets banned and Tik Tok shop gets banned that's going to put a serious dent in it and really slow it down but it will exist on other marketplaces other platforms so you better believe that if this all fails and Tik Tok shop and Tik Tok do not get approved uh for a sale in
