Gliding for the First Time (Headphone Warning!)

hey friends and welcome back to another vlog if you're new here my name is ray and i'm a second year cambridge student studying physics and in this vlog i'll be going gliding turns out it was super windy on the day i went gliding and all the microphone quality of the footage i took is really bad as you just saw with my friend speaking so this time i'll be doing a voiceover anyways i've signed up to two fighting trial fights with the cambridge university gliding society which came to about 60 pounds this included the transport to and from the airfield which was a 14 mile drive the trial flight was with a gliding instructor who managed to take off from landing but i was allowed to fly the glide in between so after waking up and making myself some breakfast i decided to watch a video on how gliders work without using any proportion before finally heading off by taxi organized by the society to the airfield here we go my ears pop like 10 times the way up yeah yeah that's how the vertical speed indicator works as well by the way oh wow so it's designed sort of like an airplane it's a closed um it's a closed vessel with a whole to the outside world and yep some notices of what you're doing right and there's but this is um uh and then the nose drops frequently we're now in a full stall we have to get out of the storm by letting it speed up again ah okay fine point down there so that's a very gentle mushed store all right comes down not the speed is there you go i went down again i glider i was in managed to gain around 1200 feet and i'll shoot by being pulled by cable but it's possible to go to 3 000 feet by being towed by small airplane which you can see here but that's basically for this vlog if you enjoyed it then leave a like if not leave a dislike let me know why otherwise i'll catch you in the next one
