Today I'm excited to introduce to you a significant evolution in how you connect your business on Google with your product and shoppers worldwide. The merchant API. Merchant API is actually API of APIs acting as a primary interface to power organic and ads experiences across Google services with state-of-the-art product and account management functionality and equally important access to the latest setup reporting insights, notifications, and recommendation capabilities. For the past decade, the content API for shopping has been a scaled interface for managing product data and account management. But in the fast evolving world of shopping, we're always looking to optimize and get you and your business set up for the future ahead. That's why we have rebuilt and optimized this novel API interface from the ground up. So now we would like to introduce to you it successor, the merchant API. This isn't just an update. It's a step change and more importantly, it's opportunity to supercharge your existing integration, unlock powerful new features, and ensure your business needs are matched to make your operation more efficient, more effective, and more valuable in the future. One of the core philosophies behind the merchant API is to create a balance between enabling faster innovation while maintaining stability. We have achieved this through three key architectural improvements. The new merchant API is structured as a collection of independent sub APIs, each designed for a dedicated specific functional area like products or accounts. This means a faster learning curve for your team, better resource management, and easier maintenance as you only need to focus on the sub APIs relevant to your business. Updates to the cont API for shopping with its monolithic structure where a single version could impact your entire integration. With independent versioning at the sub API level, you get faster access using the emerging API to new features and updates for the specific areas you care about with significantly reduce disruption and risk to other parts of your integration. To accelerate innovation, we're also introducing alpha versions that run alongside stable versions. This allows you to get early access to experimental features, provide feedback that shapes the final product, and prepare your systems for future changes before they go live in the stable version.
