so why is the metaverse so important and

what the heck is it anyway the truth is no one really knows yet what the metaverse is going to look like although some parts of it are already here but there's a lot more to come but generally the metaverse is going to be a fully immersive digital world where you can interact with other people and go anywhere you want to go and with the use of vr goggles and maybe even vr suits it will really feel and look like you're someplace else even though you're just at home so imagine being able to go to any country within a few seconds or being able to visit your in-laws without actually having but here's where things get really interesting because if people start spending a lot of time in the metaverse they're definitely going to be spending a lot of money there as well and we're seeing this already the metaverse and

some iteration is already here websites like decentraland lets you interact with other people in a digital world and you can even use cryptocurrency that you buy with real money to buy things like outfits for your digital avatars new shoes and even digital land last year snoop dogg bought some property there and then someone paid nearly half a million dollars for the plot of land right next to his so basically anything that people spend money on here in the real world can be recreated and sold in the metaverse and anywhere people buy stuff and shop creates an opportunity for us to dropship now my initial

thought was maybe we could drop ship these digital items to people that are already for sale on decentraland you can see a lot of people selling things like shoes and clothes but there's a big problem with this anytime you sell something like this it's done on the blockchain and to sell something on the blockchain you have to connect your wallet and prove that you own it and as drop shippers we don't own the products so this form of drop shipping as far as i see is just not going to work but despite that i still believe that drop shipping will be possible in the metaverse and that's because people will be shopping for physical items in the

metaverse one day that's right imagine

if you want to buy like a chair like a real physical chair for your real physical house but you're not sure which one you want to buy instead of just looking at photos of them online you'll be able to go into the store in a metaverse and actually look at them then you can see what the chair would look like in your house before you actually buy it in fact this technology already kind of exists if you download the ikea app or the warby parker app you can use augmented reality on your phone to see what furniture or glasses would look like either in your house or on your face i mean glasses on your face not a couch or a chair on your face you get the idea now this isn't just a novelty though shopify is also allowing sellers to use this ar technology and they have found that when sellers use ar content the products have a 94 higher conversion rate but so far these are just apps on your phone here in the real world the missing piece here is a whole store within the metaverse where anything you buy gets delivered to you in real life and it's only a matter of time before that happens so check this

just a concept video that was made by a visual effects company i imagine that this gives us a pretty reasonable idea of what a digital store will look like in the future and you better believe that brands like amazon ebay facebook marketplace they're all going to have digital stores and marketplaces which is exactly where we as drop shippers come in we can put items up for sale in the metaverse and once they sell we can then buy those items from the supplier's website outside the metaverse and have the supplier ship the items to our customers and i think this is going to work for two reasons first there are going to be people i think that are so into the metaverse that they won't ever want to even use the quote-unquote regular internet so before retailers can really catch up and add all their products to the metaverse we can add those products and bridge that gap the second reason i think this is going to work is because there's going to be a learning curve with the metaverse not everyone's going to understand how to use it right away so they're not going to know how to shop around and find the best deals so we can come in learn how to shop and sell on the metaverse before anyone else and really use that as an opportunity to make some good money and if you're really smart you're not going to wait for the marketplaces like amazon or ebay to open up their marketplaces in the metaverse you'll open up your own store while the competition for physical product stores is super low because no one's doing it yet we've already seen that shopify and meta have a close relationship together they've worked together quite a bit in the past i wouldn't be surprised if that stretches into the metaverse as well which will hopefully let us open our own shopify stores in the metaverse pretty soon and then we can dropship in the

metaverse but i don't know what do you
