so how much money can you make drop shipping on ebay after just three months what's up everyone paul here from dropshippingtitans. com and in this video i'm going to be reacting to another youtuber's video all about how she tried ebay dropshipping for three months as a complete beginner with no experience so we're gonna look at the video i'm gonna analyze what she did well what she did wrong what could have been better and then that gives you a good idea of what you can accomplish in just three months with ebay drop shipping so the youtuber that we're looking at today is renee she runs a channel called cupcake trainings personally i absolutely love her i've watched a lot of her videos before and i'll have her channel linked up down below but let's check out this video right here and see what she's been up to with ebay drop shipping hey youtube

renee christine here and we've been trying ebay drop shipping for like three months now some of you have been following some not this last month some stuff happened uh-oh that does not sound good we have to tell you about so i'm gonna tell you really quickly how we did the first month and then the second month and then this last month september i'm going to tell you the exact snags we ran into i'm going to tell you about some returns issues with ebay drop okay i already think i know where this is headed but i'm curious okay let's see what she has to say shipping that we discovered i'm going to tell you how much money we made before and after the returns for september i'm going to tell you the total profit after product costs plus the returns then i'm going to compare it to the other make money online tests that we've been doing as a youtube channel together i'm gonna tell you whether or not i think ebay drop shipping is worth it overall and i'm gonna also tell you what i watched that taught me how to do ebay drop shipping like click by click okay so we've been testing all these ways to make money online okay it's no secret i have a million videos on my channel yeah so i watched a ton of her videos and what's really cool was i think it was in 2020 yeah she just went on this like spree where she just tried so many different ways to make money online and the focus for her was really okay if you're a complete beginner in 2020 when a lot of people couldn't go into work what is a very simple way to get started making money online so she started testing these different ways the different strategies and documenting it all on youtube it was really fun to follow along actually try these different hustles usually i'm like build

a big brand do it right but then kovit happened and everyone was like oh my gosh we need money like right now we need money for like bread or toilet paper so i was like all right let's try get rich quick schemes and see if one actually works and most of them did not but then we were shocked when we tried this ebay drop shipping method and we started making money right away that's awesome and i think that's the results a lot of people see is that you can make money really quickly with it because it is so simple to get set up you get running doesn't require a ton of time or money invested which is shocking compared to most businesses even online businesses that really require a lot of time and capital up front i take a little issue with using the word get rich quick scheme but i think she meant it a little bit in just there i'll give her a pass on that one and we were even

more shocked that there was like zero skill involved zero inventory it's almost as easy as like pushing a button and you make money and we were like huh i wonder how far we can take this so month number one we made about seven or eight hundred bucks closer to seven hundred really seven hundred ish second month we made we doubled that to fourteen hundred dollars so i was like oh maybe we could double it again in the third month well we got a little greedy with the ebay drop shipping and pretended we were pros and then found out really quickly that we were not because all of a sudden within like let's pause it for a second first of all congratulations renee on these incredible results that you start seeing right away with ebay drop shipping i had a very similar experience to think the numbers that you had your first two months were about what i had as well and because you can see profit really quickly with this a lot of businesses it could be months or years before you're even profitable because you have to put so much money into the business but that's just not the case with drop shipping on a marketplace like ebay but just like you i'm not sure what will happen with you but i know for myself i ran into issues after a few months because i didn't exactly know what i was doing i was trying to figure it out on my own so i ran into some issues so let's see what issues you run into this one

weekend period all of a sudden we started getting all these returns from like one person it was really weird but all of a sudden we got in this one weekend period it was almost like a tornado hit our account we got several bad feedback and we got several returns and all at once and because of that ebay like knocked our account down on the listings and in rank in like so people weren't really finding our products in the search results anymore so like our sales plummeted all because of these couple of things all happening at the same time and we were like oh my gosh what do we do that's terrible are we gonna lose like all of our sales are we gonna like go into the red this month and i was totally flipping out because my assistant was like i don't think you realize how bad it is in fact it's so bad that i think we need to open up another ebay account to like make up for the loss i was like oh my goodness oh so maybe ebay drop shipping isn't everything that they say it is well by the end of the month we'd recoup some costs and before the returns i'll say before the returns we had made about twenty two hundred dollars profit this is before the returns and this is like after fees after product costs after shipping after la la i never say after taxes because it's depressing okay you make up your own taxes in your head anyway so then i was like okay so we made 2 200. how much were the returns and my assistant was like yeah like 400 bucks we lost like 400 bucks in return okay honestly that's not that bad i know at this level when it's profits like 2200 400 can feel like a lot it's really not that terrible i'm not sure what month this was like you said it was like august okay during january could be quite a lot more because that's when there's a lot of returns that are happening the 400 is really not terrible because you're probably getting some returns for the month before some from that same month so you kind of have to spread it out kind of between two different months i'm kind of curious here the rest of the story because it sounds like you might have had what i call like a competitor troll maybe someone who came in and tried to purposely attack your account very rare but those things happen or it could have actually been unfortunately another drop shipper who just isn't respecting the fact that you're a drop shipper as well because what they will do is actually drop ship from you they mess up so they end up getting a lot of returns and they pass that on to you and it kind of screws you over it's very rare but i'll explain more about that if you don't in a second oh my gosh but still i was like

well first month we made 700 second month we made 1400 third month september we made 1800 that's still money and also 1800 when i was a single mom with three kids i lived on fifteen hundred dollars a month don't ask me how i figured it out so to me like 1500 is like survival threshold if you can make 1500 a month you can survive like meaning like eat food and any like basic life necessities super basic i mean you might be living with a roommate you might be you know whatever but super super basic like you can't even go to the mcdonald's dollar menu or now they call it the value menu right but like that's you make so little that you can't even do that but still this is so true a lot of people they hear about these different ways to make money online and the people unfortunately a lot of youtubers the way they teach it is they are driving around their lamborghinis that's the way they promote it they're living in these mansions wearing these flashy clothes and for most people that's just not going to happen to be honest you're not going to get to a point where you can afford a lamborghini off the money that you're making on ebay or amazon or shopify or whatever but as rene is showing you it's very possible to make enough money to live or enough money to have it be a reasonable side hustle that's able to pay down your mortgage faster or have extra money to invest then you can then use that money in the future for retirement so you can retire earlier or have a comfortable retirement or just live a little bit more comfortable in the moment most people honestly you're not going to get a lamborghini but most people don't need a lamborghini either for being honest well you can have you

like i don't know where to like my path in life i'm like amy drop shipping that's the way i tell it to everybody now everybody who's like struggling financially i'm like ebay drop shipping that's the key but nobody seems to be listening to me but it truly like we were testing things since march we tested everything and we cannot make a dollar on etsy but we can make 1800 on ebay even after all the problems you know i had the exact same experience when i started years ago i tried so many different things i tried affiliate marketing these niche websites i tried shopify i think i tried amazon nothing worked i never really made any money with any of them until i tried ebay drop shipping and it just

works so i definitely think ebay dropshipping is the way and totally worth it so much so that i really tried to avoid bringing it up with my 16 year old daughter but was like i think i'm gonna try that stuff and i think she is she's like going through the course right now because i'm not helping her she got to do it herself so we've tried a bunch of like the different apps and stuff that said like make money online if you watch these videos if you do this spotify account we've done a lot of that and we've tried legit ways to like amazon wholesaling we're working on amazon private label right now and we've made some money with amazon wholesaling like serious money like amazon wholesale is like it's more of a learning curve though ebay drop shipping was like i just watched that course and watched his screen and he was like click here click here you make money and i was like wow money just came in amazon wholesale you can make so much money in amazon private label also but there is such a learning curve and there's so much to learn with that but at the same time it's more of a seven figure dream than a six figure dream so ebay is more like six figure dream amazon it's harder but it's more of a seven figure so i love drop shipping obviously most of my channel i talk about drop shipping a huge proponent of it for this exact reason because it is so simple to start for beginners and it doesn't require a huge upfront investment of cost you don't have that huge learning curve that you do with like amazon fba or amazon wholesale so i think for a beginner it is the perfect business model especially when you're selling on marketplace like ebay but i'm not naive okay i know a lot of you want to make a lot of money so i've always said hey i completely support and i think it's a brilliant idea if you start with something like ebay drop shipping build up the capital and then use that capital to build an fba business or a wholesale business where you need more capital in order to run it and then if you fail at the fba or wholesale or you need more money then you can have your drop shipping store still running or start it back up make some extra capital and then roll that back into amazon fba or amazon wholesale i think it's a brilliant way to scale up your business and you absolutely can
