Introduction

Welcome to Finnvvis. In this tutorial, I will show you how to add notes to your portfolio. With portfolio notes, you can write down your investment ideas, strategies, and key details for every stock in your portfolio or watch list.

How to build a portfolio

First, go to portfolio. Build a portfolio by clicking create new or load a saved portfolio from the drop-down in the top left. Now that you can see your transactions and positions, you can add notes. There are three types of notes. The first is

Portfolio Description

the portfolio description. Near the drop down where you have your saved portfolios, click the button for add description. Type in your description or notes about your portfolio and click save. Now you'll see your portfolio description at the top above your positions.

Ticker Note

positions. The second type of note is a ticker note. Click the three dots all the way on the right side. Select add ticker note. Then type the note you want to see for all transactions with that ticker. Click save. To view your ticker note

View Ticker Note

you can hover over the comment icon or click customize in the top right corner and select show all notes. Now your ticker notes will appear under the company name. The third type of note is a transaction note. These are specific to each trade entry you make. To add a transaction note, click on the three dots all the way on the right and select edit trade. Now you can enter your transaction note, trade details, entry and exit strategy, news, whatever information you want to see later, and click save. Now you can
