How Much I Made Picking Up Pocket Change!

so I decided that for this video I'm going to change things up a bit what's up Paul J Lipsky here back with another unique way that you can earn or save money and today we are talking all about pocket change now increasingly America is moving away from using cash people don't like it they don't find it convenient they don't like receiving change either just weighs down their pockets weighs down their pocketbooks and people often will just throw it into a tip jar or even if the change drops on the ground people don't even bother to pick it up and that's because we see the

convenience of using alternative ways to pay for things of course credit cards people that are under 50 years old one-third of them only use credit cards and never use cash and one in ten Millennials use Apple pay for all their purchases or something similar to it so we are definitely moving away from using cash not quite there yet though and that creates a great opportunity for you if you're looking to pick up some extra change see when people get changed if they drop it most people don't even bother to pick it up or most people just get rid of it but if you collect all your change and you find some on the street and you pick it up as well you can get quite a bit of money and that's exactly what I did for the past year so I've been collecting all the change that I've received and I've been picking up any change that I see as well now a little bit of a caveat here like I said before I don't really use cash at all anymore so the amount of change that I actually received was very low so most of this I did just pick up but most of it is pennies so how much I'm actually going to receive from this I'm not quite sure how much this is but I will tell you this when I was a little kid my dad got me a five-gallon empty water jug and every day we would put change in there every time we got changed after a couple of years I cashed it in and it was over $500 I didn't even know that I had so collecting change definitely does add up both see how much all these pennies add up to so I have

some other change here I've been collecting since we moved into our van tell them those in there as well and what I'm going to do is I'm going to take a picture of this to put it on Instagram and I'm going to ask everyone on Instagram how much money they think this is and whoever is the closest we're not going to play Price is Right rules here whoever's a closest will actually win the entire amount in the form of a gift card so if you guys aren't following me on instagram then sorry you missed this contest because this contest will already be over by the time this video comes out but if I ever run another one you guys have to be following me on instagram in order to win that contest so let me do that and then we'll go to the Coinstar and find out how much this is worth and by the way there's a pretty awesome story about this fishbowl which I will explain at the end of the video because it's pretty irrelevant to the topic of this video
