have some standards of evidence ffs

All right, I got to make this really fast. YouTube Shorts doesn't give you a ton of time, but um I've been scrolling the internet. You know, there's the whole thing that happened at the hotel last night at the White House press event. And um I don't want to get into the details of everything that's happening right now, but one of the things that is seriously concerning me is that uh across the political spectrum, even some content creators I thought I respected uh have instead of, you know, realizing that this is a massive or not even a massive event, but it's a chaotic event that had a lot of content and and contradictory takes and perspectives and evidence uh brought in all at once. uh cherrypicked evidence because it fit a preconceived notion of what they thought the case was and are already making assumptions or are spinning conspiracy narratives around what happened. And all I have to say is without me making any because I my answer and I think everyone's answer should be that we have no idea what the [ __ ] happened and it's going to take a long time before we actually figure out what happened. And at this point to have the confidence to make accusations of things like false flag operations which have like massive downsides and like are you know very hard to pull off and are you know like it's a huge claim with very little evidence and that is a very bad standard to work off of. And on top of that, like this is a good lesson for everybody who is watching because when these kinds of events happen, you need to be very careful about what you what evidence you're going to spend together. Especially if you're an influencer, I thought this was extraordinarily irresponsible for people who are trying to inform others about the news and about the world and about politics. you need to be careful because we're not going to know what happened for weeks if not years because there's stuff that's going to be public. secret. There's stuff that's going to be uh like, you know, contradictory. Uh and sussing out what's true and what's false is a slow and deliberate process that takes a long time and you have to be very careful about it. And to just say uh accusations like massive accusations uh cheapens you know the actual crimes of this administration and also uh encourages a sort of heristical thinking that leads to things like pizzagate leads to QAnon leads to the kind of fascist thinking that leads to the Donald Trump presidency as we have it now. And so please you have a good brain. You have to be responsible with it and stop assuming that you're going to be so like stop being so confident in your answers and really just go off of focusing on information and and trust like give yourself time.
