If Mourinho sees a laundry guy making jokes and we're not winning, he'll tell him off. Why are you laughing? What's funny? What's funny? And the laundry guy is standing there thinking, well, I'm not playing. Yeah, but you're part of the squad. club. You should feel what we're feeling. And that's how the mentality was and that's how competitive it was. When we know we're not playing well, nobody smiles during the training. Nobody smiles in the training ground. Everybody's grumpy. Everybody's moody. And that also is what happened when Roman comes in and we're not doing well. He's not He doesn't have a smiley face. When you see Roman at Cobham, the helicopter landing, you definitely know something is wrong. Ah, that's trouble. You know the manager is getting sacked. And we're not making that up though. That was what happened. That's what Roman does. If you're not winning, you're gone. I remember one meeting we had where he came in and he said, "Listen, I don't want you guys to feel way too comfortable. I have enough money to change all of you. So, sit up and start winning games. Otherwise, I'm going to go buy somebody else. " And Nicolas Anelka was sitting next to me said, "Yeah, pay me off, I'll go. " — So, he said to you what? He said it to you. He wasn't brave enough to say it to you. Pay me off, I'll go, yeah. — The senior players they didn't phone. The JT's, the Didier Drogba's like, "You guys need to get You need to get the team back together. We need to start winning again. " And I don't know if that's something that happens now, but Roman was very, very involved with the squad. He just didn't spend his money and say, "Here you go, I'll buy you. " No, no. That for bridge when we finish a game, he comes, you know, shakes hand with everybody, sits there, listens to music, watches everybody. Like, he was always involved. He stands there until everybody leaves. He's standing there having a chat with everybody, putting his arm around people, saying, "What do you need? How's your family? Is everything okay? Do you need anything else? " He was involved in what happens day in day out at that football club. Day in day out, he wants to know what's happening. So, if we're not performing, he will let us know straight away that we need to fix this.
