Why You Need a VPN If You're Dropshipping!

so that's why if you don't use a VPN with your drop shipping business it is a huge mistake what's up Paul here from dropshipping Titans comm where I teach regular people just like you how to start successful ebay or amazon drop shipping businesses and in this video we're talking all about VPNs what they are why you need to be using them with your drop shipping business and the best VPNs out there for you to use so what is a VPN first of all

VPN stands for virtual private network so basically every computer has what's called an IP address is just an address that identifies that computer that network now in a VPN actually masks or hides your IP address and it also encrypts your data and protects it there's really four reasons that we as dropshippers would be interested in doing that so let's discuss what all four of those reasons are do you ever do any work in coffee shops

or inside hotels when you're traveling or inside restaurants at all if you do that means you're using some sort of public Wi-Fi even if it's password-protected it's still leaving your information vulnerable on your computer this is a number one reason that people use VPNs for accessing public Wi-Fi safely because it does encrypt your data allows you to send and receive information and you don't have to worry about anything so I know for myself for my dropshipping businesses I'm logging onto eBay Amazon PayPal my bank accounts often times and that's very you know sensitive information that I don't want people getting access to and the truth is that if there's a hacker that's on the same Wi-Fi as you they can get into your computer they can see what you're transmitting and potentially get all your money out of your bank accounts so one way to protect yourself against that is by using a VPN that's why it's the first reason that I suggest you use a VPN so the second and third reason really pertain to dropshippers and people who sell on eBay and Amazon in particular so a lot of times what we're gonna come across is we're going to see coupons or deals on different websites that we might drop ship from an example that sticks out to me here is Bed Bath & Beyond you will always find that you can get a ton of different coupons or Bed Bath and Beyond but Bed Bath Beyond or BBB for short they don't like it when you continually use a lot of coupons for this purpose drop shipping or resale purposes so if they catch you doing it they'll shut down your account and they won't allow you to keep making purchases and shipping to different addresses using these coupons so one way around that is to hide the fact that it's you shopping each time that you do it I don't particularly advise that you do this but it is something that people do so what you do is you make one purchase or a couple of purchases on BBB then you turn on your VPN pick a different location clear your cache and cookies and make some more purchases under a different account and you keep doing that over and over again and I do know people who have done that with success so that's the second reason you might want to use a VPN especially as a drop shipper basically to hide the fact that you are a drop shipper or reseller from these different websites now the third reason is when you happen to be working on your stores particularly with Amazon and this isn't just for drop shipping if you're working on your Amazon store from the same house or maybe you go to visit a friend who also has an Amazon account that they're running the Amazon is pretty strict where they only let you have one account per person and if they think you have multiple accounts they'll shut down all the accounts in addition even with eBay if they think two accounts are linked up or they're owned by the same person and one of those accounts are shut down then the other account might be shut down as well and one of the ways that Amazon and eBay link two accounts together is with the IP address if you're accessing the same you're accessing from the same router same network two different accounts they might get linked together so to avoid that risk if you happen to be in the same room as someone who is also running an Amazon account you might want to consider using a VPN if you're going to access your Amazon account so that's the third reason you might want to use a VPN to avoid yourself being linked up with another account let's talk about the fourth reason the final reason and then I'll give you a bonus one as well so if you travel outside the United States or if you live what you're going to find is that you're not always able to access the same websites that you could if you lived in the USA or it located physically in the United States the biggest example I can give is Home Depot try to access homedepot. com from another country a lot of times you won't be able to access it or try um accessing Facebook or Google from China and you won't be able to do it now the way around this is by using a VP you can set the VPN so it looks like you're inside the United States and that will then allow you to access those websites from inside the United States it's also useful if you want to use Netflix and you're not in the United States as another example as well so that's the fourth reason is if you want it to look like you're in the United States so that you can access those websites let me give this little bonus one here and that's if you hire some virtual assistants and you want them to run your business and have the same problem so if they live outside the United States they're unable to access those websites if you want them to use coupons multiple times you can they can use a VPN as well you can buy one for them or let them use yours and that will then allow them to work on your store with no issues so those are the four reasons plus a bonus one why you might want to use a VPN but let's go back to my computer so I can show you the best VPNs to use for your business so you

might be wondering now what is the best DPN for you to use now when you're looking at VPNs there are four things that I would look for most important is reliability make sure you're buying it from a company that's been around for a while as a good reputation second thing I look for is make sure that you can connect to multiple different servers in the United States so like I explained before sometimes you'll want to change your location so that you can buy something from a website once and then buy it from the website again got that web setting website knowing that it's you purchasing the item multiple times in order to be able to do that you need to have the ability to connect to different servers in the United States the third thing I would look for is make sure that it comes with an app that you can download for your phone you also want to make sure your phone is protected if you're going to access you know important websites on your phone and a lot of these will come with one of those as well the last thing I would make sure is that it comes with something called a kill switch which is basically if it happens to disconnect the VPN you want to make sure that it actually cuts off the internet on your computer entirely so that you don't accidentally send data that's not encrypted and the kill switch will make sure that happens now I do have some recommendations some that that you can get the first is one that you actually download onto your computer and it will protect anything that leaves your computer as long as it's on the second type of VPN is called a browser VPN and what a browser VPN does is just a Chrome extension so here on my computer you'll see this is the one that I've tried before it's called browse Ecch and by the way of links to all of these in the description of this video so browse ech here it is on the top right you can see it's added and that it's on so this is going to protect anything that I do on this web browser this one so if I this is Chrome if I also open up Safari and I do some browsing on Safari won't be protected because I don't have the Chrome extension added to Safari with Chrome you can also have multiple different people they call it so this is one that you see I have a bunch of them here so if I open up this other one right here and do some web surfing on here this browser is not protected either because I don't have the Chrome extension added here I would have to add the Chrome extension to this Google account so this will only protect limited things in your computer some people might want that and the other benefit is that a lot of these are free although free isn't always better sometimes with free things they're not kept up to date they're not there's no money behind it so that the company doesn't have as much incentive to make sure that they're working well and because I also want my entire computer protected I always buy ones that I download to computer that protect my entire computer and the first one I ever tried is called cyber ghost this is it right here now on paper this has everything I thought I needed it allows me to connect to multiple different locations in the United States I can access it on different computers so I was able to give access to it to my virtual assistants it also has a kill switch and it did work well for a while but I always had some sort of connection issues with it just wouldn't connect all the time it would slow down my internet even though it claimed it didn't do that maybe it's better now I haven't used it in a while but I actually stopped using this one and I started using one called Nord VPN this is it right here and nor it has everything that I want allows me to connect to multiple different servers multiple people can use it I have an it comes with an app for my phone and has a kill switch as well and it just works really well it doesn't slow down my computer that much and it never really have problems connecting with it so this is the one I currently use and really enjoy this one now for both of these Nord VPN and cyberghost what you'll find is that you can either pay month-to-month or you can pay for a year upfront or two years upfront and they both also come with some sort of trial or really cheap trial like I think you can get Nord VPN a lot of times or just a couple of dollars for your first month so what I recommend you do is try out north VPN with the free trial or the cheap trial and if you like it then sign up for the two-year package because the difference between the one-year package and the two-year package is very small of course the price is always changing but here you'll see that the one-year plan is $84 and the two-year plan is 95. 7 t five cents so very small difference there you might as well save some money and sign up for the two-year plan now the last one I want to show you here is one that I use for a very short period of time it's called wind scribe and I never actually paid for this one there's a free version that you can get when you first download it but there's a cap on how much data you can put through it when you have the free version so the reason I want to kind of throw this one out there is because if you're kind of stubborn and don't want to pay for a VPN then at least download this one at least use this one when you're on public Wi-Fi it will cap out eventually but at least protect yourself in the short run and if you find that you're liking it you can always sign up for the paid plan and this one tends to be really cheap as well so there you go guys those are the three that I've use like I said Nord VPN is the one I currently use my virtual assistants use and overall it's just the best one that I have found there are a ton of other ones so I
