Hello, this is Dr. Grande. Today, I will analyze the case of Chirayu Rana. First, I'll look at the background of this case, move to a summary of the lawsuit, then offer my analysis. Chirayu Rana was born sometime around 1991 and was raised in Vienna, Virginia. This is 17 miles west of Washington, D. C. His parents were from Nepal. His mother ran a home daycare. After high school, Chirayu attended Marymount University, then transferred to Rutgers University, graduating in 2013 with a bachelor's degree in finance. Chirayu worked for several financial firms before ending up at J. P. Morgan Chase & Company in March 2024. He worked in their New York City Park Avenue offices. His job was to build business in the private credit industry. Chirayu stopped working for J. P. Morgan near the end of 2025 after claiming that he had been victimized by the company in multiple ways. On April 27, 2026, he filed a lawsuit against the bank and an executive director and former co-worker named Lorna Hajdini. He originally filed it under the pseudonym John Doe, but it was later removed from the court docket. On May 4, 2026, the lawsuit was refiled. It was substantially the same as the original filing. His lawyers claimed the takedown was attributable to a clerical error. Here is a summary of the lawsuit. It is important to remember these are only allegations and J. P. Morgan and Lorna denied the claims. Chirayu joined the leverage finance group at J. P. Morgan in March 2024. During his time there, he established himself as knowledgeable and capable and earned the informal title of senior investment banker from his team. He closed more deals than anyone else on the team and completed work assigned to others when his colleagues missed deadlines. In April of that year, Lorna joined the group and became his supervisor. She had struggled elsewhere in the company to gain traction for promotion to managing director. Beginning sometime around May 2024, Lorna frequently commented that she expected to be promoted to managing director by the end of the year. If this happened, she would help Chirayu become an executive director. Around the same time, Lorna started making unwanted sexual advances toward Chirayu. Again, these are only allegations. For example, in early May 2024, Lorna dropped her pen on the floor next to Chirayu. When he bent down to pick it up, she rubbed and squeezed his leg and made a reference to natural lubrication, implying that she was in the mood for sex. On May 14, Lorna invited him to share an Uber with her to go home after work and made another natural lubrication reference. When Chirayu declined her offer, Lorna said, "You know, I'm still your boss, and what I say goes here at JPM. Trust me, I own you. " On May 17, Chirayu declined an invitation from Lorna to join her and friends for a drink after work. Lorna threatened him saying, "If you don't blank me soon, I'm going to ruin you. Never forget, I blanking own you. " Chirayu spoke with one of the managing directors and requested that he no longer be assigned to collaborate with Lorna, but he failed to mention the details of the sexual advances. On May 20, 2024, Lorna hosted the team at an elite private club. Throughout the evening, she repeatedly groped Chirayu under a table saying, "You want this executive director life? You want to get paid like me? You're going to need to earn it, my little Arab boy toy. " Over the next few weeks, she continued to touch him and make sexually explicit and racially derogatory comments. On May 21, Lorna offered oral sex to Chirayu saying, "Don't forget I own you. Don't fight it. " Chirayu declined and continued with his work. One or two days later, Lorna leaned over his desk and said she wanted to blank his long black blank right now. She suggested that he could get promoted as long as he started pleasing her. Sometime around June 10, 2024, Lorna sent a racially offensive text message to Chirayu. Around the same time, she texted him a photograph of shirtless men she found attractive and suggested that she was a more capable provider of oral sex than his wife. Sometime around July 2024, Lorna told Chirayu that she wanted to sit on his face while she took a phone call. During that same month, she groped him without consent while they were on a subway. Lorna had information about Chirayu which led him to believe she accessed his JP Morgan workforce monitoring system. She knew his spending habits, prescription medications, and previous addresses. Eventually, Lorna began forcing Chirayu

to visit another individual's apartment, which was often vacant. This individual is referred to as witness one in the lawsuit. During one occasion when they were there in July 2024, Lorna made a sexual advance which Chirayu rejected. Lorna responded, "Do you want to get promoted at year end or not? Do you want a future at JP Morgan? It's that simple. I don't know why you're fighting this. " Without waiting for his response, she removed his pants and performed oral sex on him without consent. When Chirayu began crying, Lorna raised her voice and said, "Stop blanking crying. You think anyone would ever believe you? You are a blanking blank bag who thinks he's hot blank, but you can't even your blank hard for me. What the blank is this? After Chirayu was unable to raise the mainsail, so to speak, Lorna demanded that he perform oral sex on her. He complied due to fear of retaliation. Later in July 2024, Lorna once again insisted they go to the apartment where she conducted another sexual assault. This happened two more times in September 2024. During the second attack in September, Lorna said, "If you don't blank my brains out tonight, I'm going to sabotage your promotion. You better blank the blank out of me. " An individual referred to as witness two in the lawsuit was in the apartment at this time. After initiating sexual contact with Chirayu, Lorna approached witness two and asked him to join her and Chirayu in the bedroom. When witness two refused, Lorna said, "You know, I own Chirayu, so you better come join. " She went back into the bedroom and closed the door. Chirayu had sex with Lorna, but he did not want to. The lawsuit claimed that Lorna drugged Chirayu with roofies and a pharmaceutical product designed to keep his antenna deployed, so to speak. Also in the lawsuit, Chirayu accused other JP Morgan employees of making many racist statements. He received threatening and racist phone calls from unknown people. On June 6, 2025, JP Morgan retaliated against Chirayu by placing him on involuntary administrative leave. At the time I'm making this video, the lawsuit is working its way through the court system. JP Morgan offered Chirayu $1 million to settle his claims. He rejected their offer. It's not clear how much he is looking for, but in May 2025, when he filed a formal internal complaint, he wanted $22 million. dollars. After leaving JP Morgan at the end of 2025, Chirayu joined a private equity firm called Bregal Sagemount. He left that company on April 2, 2026. Now moving to my analysis. Chirayu Rana maintains, through his attorney, that the claims contained in the lawsuit are true. The attorney implied that more evidence is available, which is favorable to his client, and said, "Quote, we look forward to the truth and facts coming to light through proceedings. Unquote. " JP Morgan and Lorna indicated that the claims made in the lawsuit are meritless. The bank investigated and found no evidence of their validity. For instance, JP Morgan said that Chirayu and Lorna never had sexual relations. This brings me to the question, are the claims made in the lawsuit true? Let's take a look at the evidence both for and against the idea that the allegations are true, starting with the factors that support this theory. One media outlet reported seeing screenshots of group texts involving members of the team Chirayu was assigned to, where colleagues joked about him being Nepalese. These messages also contained a racist reference to Indian men. This appears to partially corroborate claims made in the lawsuit. The lawsuit named two anonymous witnesses, referred to as witness one and witness two, who could possibly corroborate some of the claims. For instance, their testimony may support the claim that Chirayu and Lorna would meet in an apartment. Reportedly, JP Morgan offered Chirayu $1 million to settle the claims. This is not an admission of guilt, and many companies make settlement offers to avoid going to court. However, they do not usually offer a million dollars for baseless claims. Now moving to the factors that contradict the theory that the claims in the lawsuit are true. Various people who knew Chirayu implied that he may be difficult to get along with. For example, he was allegedly aggressive during soccer practice when he was in college and at JP Morgan, he was allegedly socially awkward, critical of other employees on his team, and vocal when he felt as though his colleagues work was substandard. Some of the statements made in the lawsuit risk characterizing Chirayu as

arrogant and grandiose. For example, the claim that he had the informal title of senior investment banker, and the suggestion that he had to pick up the slack for his colleagues who were underperforming. This makes it seem like Chirayu simply took the opportunity to insult his co-workers in his lawsuit. Why would he include items that were not important to his underlying claims? At the end of 2024, Chirayu stopped reporting to the office telling JP Morgan that his father died. According to a person close to JP Morgan, his biological father did not die. Chirayu's lawyer said that his client was referring to a dad-like figure who helped raise him. This seems incredibly suspicious. Why didn't Chirayu just say that from the beginning? Chirayu claimed that Lorna was a supervisor, but this characterization has been disputed. If she was not in a position of power, her ability to credibly threaten his career would be significantly weakened. Why would she repeatedly say things like, "I own you. " if she had no formal authority over him? Both JP Morgan and Lorna denied the claims made by Chirayu. The company said it conducted an investigation and found the claims to be meritless. Chirayu reportedly wanted a settlement of $22 million, which seems a bit unrealistic. This does not disprove his claim, but it lends credibility to the theory that money was the motive for the lawsuit. Many of the quotes the attributes to Lorna, are almost too cinematic. She sounds like a James Bond villain, making direct and outrageous statements without any shame or fear. There was absolutely no subtlety. With pretty much every encounter, Lorna was laying out her master plan, thoroughly explaining the nature of her wrongdoing. Her words were perfect for someone to win a lawsuit against her. This seems incredibly convenient for Chirayu. Allegedly, Lorna also mixed in racist remarks with her sexual advances. Why would she do that? How did that help her achieve her goal? As if all this wasn't enough to create a tremendous amount of liability, another level of wrongdoing was added to the lawsuit. Allegedly, other team members at JP Morgan made racist remarks. It was a grand conspiracy. At every turn, Chirayu was being victimized. This is difficult to believe. When considering the limited amount of evidence available in this case, do I believe the allegations in the lawsuit are true? This is a tricky case. The lawsuit confidently describes all these horrible and outrageous offenses with a high level of detail. At the same time, the very nature of the descriptions creates a problem. The claims are extraordinary, very difficult to believe without credible evidence. In my opinion, the allegations are probably not true in their entirety, but there may be a grain of truth. I wonder if Chirayu became upset with JP Morgan because they became unhappy with his performance. To protect himself, he decided to go on the offensive. He used his observations of offhanded offensive comments made in jest to construct a catalog of wild and drastic allegations. After all, there was that screenshot of the text message exchange containing what appeared to be a racist remark. This makes it seem like at least of what the lawsuit claimed is true. Another important factor to consider is the mention of the two witnesses. If they are credible, that changes everything. But, they were not even identified in the lawsuit. There's no way to know if they actually exist or if they observed anything that can support the claims. The outcome of this case may largely depend on the credibility of the two main players. The problem for Chirayu is that his credibility can be called into question due to some of his For instance, his story about his biological father dying. It is also important to consider the role of digital evidence. Where are all these text messages? Was anything captured on video? What does cell phone data reveal about the location of the co-workers? Does it place them together in that apartment? Much of the mystery could be solved here if the digital evidence was made available. Now, moving to my final thoughts. This case has captured the attention of so many people because the allegations are unbelievably bizarre. Even though the veracity of the claims is uncertain, there is at least one definitive takeaway. Somebody engaged in extremely offensive behavior. Did Chirayu fabricate wild claims or did Lorna severely mistreat him? Either way, at least one person's reputation will probably not survive this conflict. Those are my thoughts on the case of Chirayu Rana. Thank you so much for watching. I'll talk to you soon.
