Oh, this is Dr. Grande. Today I will analyze the case of Jeffrey Paschal. First, I'll look at the background of this case, move to the timeline of the crime, then offer my analysis. Jeffrey Ian Paschal was born on September 12, 1977 in Knoxville, Tennessee. To make a living, he worked as a drug dealer and restored and rented various properties. Jeffrey lived in a house just outside Knoxville. In 1995, he married a woman who was described as his high school sweetheart. The marriage ended by annulment within months. In April 1998, Jeffrey married for the second time. His wife was named Sabrina Grigsby. The couple went on to have a son in 1999 and another son during the next year. Sabrina accused Jeffrey of being violent and controlling. In 2000, Jeffrey was arrested for drug dealing. Later, he would be convicted of possession with intent to distribute cocaine and receive a sentence of 30 months in prison. Sabrina claimed that Jeffrey's treatment of her was even worse after he was released from prison. Eventually, Jeffrey filed for divorce. He became romantically involved with a woman named Allison Moon in 2006. They married in January 2007 and went on to have a son. This was Jeffrey's third marriage. Allison accused Jeffrey of mistreating her. For example, she said that he physically attacked her, disabled her vehicle, hid her keys, confined her to a bathroom, threatened to kill her, strangled her, and conducted an assault of a sexual nature against her. The couple separated in 2013 and eventually divorced. During the same year, Jeffrey was charged with felony larceny for stealing lights from a Home Depot store. His attempt to shine ended with him pleading guilty to misdemeanor theft by shoplifting. In 2014, Jeffrey was arrested and charged with theft and battery. He pleaded no contest to the theft and the battery charge was dismissed. In January 2015, Jeffrey married for the fourth time to a woman named Britney. The couple had two sons, one in 2015 and one in 2017. This marriage ended in divorce. Jeffrey went in a new direction as far as his career. He found work doing what he referred to as acting. He appeared in re-enactments on various true crime shows like Snapped, Snapped Killer Couples, Murder by Numbers, Murder Calls, Homicide Hunter, and Fatal Attraction. In December 2017, Jeffrey became romantically involved with a third-grade teacher named Kristen Wilson. Over time, Kristen uncovered the details of Jeffrey's past like his extensive criminal history and his four marriages. He explained his record by saying that his ex-wives were conspiring against him. Kristen said that she would not have dated him if she knew about his history. However, by the time she found out, she was already in love with him. In March 2018, Jeffrey's youngest son, who he had with Britney in 2017, died at the age of 13 months. The cause of death was inconclusive. One year later, in March 2019, Jeffrey and Kristen became engaged. The engagement went forward despite Kristen believing that Jeffrey was volatile, explosive, and uncaring. Now, moving to the timeline of the crime. On June 9, 2019, at about 1:45 a. m., Kristen Wilson's neighbor, Lauren Gauch, called 911 and reported that Kristen had been severely beaten. When the police arrived, they encountered Kristen at Lauren's house. Here is what happened according to Kristen. On June 8th, 2019, she and Jeffrey went out to have dinner at a restaurant for several hours. They planned to meet a friend at a bar afterward. Before meeting the friend, Kristen and Jeffrey stopped at her house on North Shore Drive in Knoxville to walk her dog. She texted the friend at 11:00 p. m. to tell her that she and Jeffrey were leaving the house. Kristen then walked up the driveway to go back inside. The next thing she remembered was lying on the floor inside her house. Jeffrey dragged her by her hair, then he grabbed her by the back of the neck and took her up the stairs toward the bedrooms. At this point, she lost consciousness. The next thing Kristen remembered was being shoved against a wall in the corner of the kitchen with no idea how she ended up there. Jeffrey hit her head on the floor until she lost consciousness again. When Kristen regained consciousness, she was on the couch in her living room with blood dripping from her chin. Jeffrey told her to get up, wash her face, and go to bed. He did not turn on the lights, so she could not see her face.

face. Kristen went to bed as Jeffrey instructed because she was worried he would beat her again if she refused. Jeffrey joined her in bed. For the next 1 or 2 hours, he searched Kristen's phone and deleted references to himself, including text message exchanges. Once Jeffrey stopped moving, Kristen jumped out of bed and ran to her neighbor's house. This is when her neighbor, Lauren, called 911. The police noticed there was a large bruise on Kristen's forehead, as well as bruises and abrasions on her back, arms, and inside of her lip. The police went to speak with Jeffrey to get his side of the story. He said that he and Kristen were involved in an argument, and she beat her head against the wall in the hallway. After this, she left the residence on foot. Jeffrey was arrested and charged with misdemeanor domestic assault. Later, he would also be charged with aggravated kidnapping and interference with an emergency call. When he was placed in the back of a patrol vehicle, he allegedly attempted to kick out the windows. Being arrested and charged wasn't the only bad news for Jeffrey. His engagement to Kristen was canceled. The state of Tennessee offered Jeffrey a plea bargain that involved 4 years of probation. He rejected this offer and prepared to go on trial. In February 2020, Jeffrey appeared on the TLC reality show 90 Day Fiancé: Before the 90 Days. He was on season 4. Jeffrey could be seen traveling to Russia on July 11, 2019 to meet an online girlfriend named Varya Malina. This was only 32 days after his arrest. According to the show, they had been dating for 3 months. This meant that Jeffrey had been talking to Varya for 2 months while he was engaged to Kristen. Ultimately, Jeffrey proposed to Varya and she moved to the United States. They dreamed of a life together, but first Jeffrey needed to get through the trial for aggravated kidnapping. On October 6, 2021, the trial started. Jeffrey's lover, Varya, was in the courtroom to support him. Kristen Wilson testified against Jeffrey, repeating her claims about him severely beating her in June 2019. On the second day of the trial, October 7, Jeffrey testified in his own defense. Here's what he said. On the night of the incident, both he and Kristen were intoxicated. Kristen was very aggressive, very loud, and very accusatory when they returned to her house. She was getting in his face, which prompted him to slowly push her back. Jeffrey tried to leave as the argument escalated. Kristen grabbed his keys and ran into the side of a door. After that, she went outside and tumbled over hedges. After Jeffrey was able to get her to calm down, she went to the upstairs bathroom, cleaned herself up, and went to bed. Later, Kristen climbed out of the bed and left the house. On the same day as Jeffrey's testimony, the case went to the jury, and he was found guilty of all charges. About 4 months later, on February 3, 2022, Jeffrey was sentenced to a term of 18 years in prison without the possibility of parole. He is scheduled to be released on December 12, 2037, when he will be 60 years old. At the time I'm making this video, Jeffrey is still engaged to Varya. She has posted a video on YouTube saying that Jeffrey works in prison intake, which is considered a good job. Despite this positive news, she indicated that his time in prison has been horrifying and an absolute nightmare. Now, moving to my analysis. There isn't much doubt that Jeffrey is guilty of attacking Kristen. His story about her injuries being self-inflicted is pretty difficult to believe. Furthermore, he has been the target of many similar allegations over the years. A pattern of behavior has emerged. The mystery in this case is really about how Jeffrey has been repeatedly able to find romantic partners who he could mistreat. Why did he have tremendous romantic success? Even after going to prison, his current lover is waiting for him and advocating for him. She desperately wants him to be released. What do I think happened in this case? This is just a theory, my opinion. Jeffrey was self-centered, impulsive, reckless, irresponsible, arrogant, vain glorious, grandiose, cold, callous, shallow, vindictive, petty, erratic, volatile, nefarious, manipulative, demanding, controlling, belligerent, domineering, tyrannical, obsessive, remorseless, resentful, duplicitous, sadistic, intransigent, meretricious, had low frustration tolerance, possessed superficial charm, had a sense of entitlement, and was exceedingly

creepy. He obtained financial success from drug dealing and property ownership. According to his second wife, Sabrina, Jeffrey had big dreams that included being rich, access to resources, and optimism about his financial future probably aided Jeffrey in finding romantic success, but his physical appearance was a much more important factor. Throughout his various interactions with women, many found Jeffrey to be overwhelmingly physically attractive. On his various social media accounts, there were many comments containing descriptors like great-looking, handsome, gorgeous, and very attractive. People believed that he had beautiful blue eyes and the best smile. Jeffrey was irresistible and mesmerizing. His appearance greatly increased his ability to establish romantic relationships. Physical attractiveness is by far the most important characteristic people use when selecting a lover. There is no close second, not money, not personality. Appearance sits alone in the number one spot unbothered by any serious contenders. Women who were attracted to Jeffrey due to his movie star good looks would assume that he had other positive characteristics. This is referred to as the halo effect. For instance, they believed that Jeffrey was genuine, caring, kind, trustworthy, successful, hardworking, and highly intelligent. In In Jeffrey did not have these characteristics. There wasn't much more to him than his attractiveness. One would expect these romantic relationships to burn out quickly. Like the women would be disappointed that Jeffrey was one-dimensional. Furthermore, his lovers were not too happy about his extensive criminal record. It was more than just a lack of redeeming characteristics. Jeffrey had several negative traits, which would be automatic deal-breakers for many lovers. Despite the expectation that his lovers would reject him, Jeffrey was able to maintain his romantic relationships. He used controlling, demanding, manipulative, and violent behavior to keep his lovers fearful and dependent. For example, Sabrina said that Jeffrey isolated her. Allison said that he physically attacked her. And Kristen talked about how Jeffrey could be very sweet, but then something would set him off. Out of nowhere, he would become violent. Afterward, he would apologize. This created a vicious cycle. In June 2019, Jeffrey was arrested for attacking Kristen, but this did not change his focus. He was not remorseful. He did not contemplate making a major positive change in his life. Instead, he pursued a long-term relationship with another lover. Jeffrey managed to get on a reality TV show featuring his romantic pursuit of Varya. Lost in his own ability to achieve success against all odds, Jeffrey neglected to appreciate the trouble he was in over the aggravated kidnapping incident. He rejected a plea deal, which would have seen him on probation for 4 years. He rolled the dice and ended up being convicted and sentenced to 18 years in prison. This is a hard 18, no chance of getting out on parole. There were so many reasons that Jeffrey should have failed in life, drug dealing, theft, deception, physically attacking lovers, but none of those things led to his undoing. Instead, it was his arrogance that cost him everything. He could have once again escaped the consequences of his behavior, but he was not willing to accept responsibility. admit that he was wrong. One can make a good argument that Jeffrey had a face made for television, but a personality made for prison. Those are my thoughts on the case of Jeffrey Paschal. Thank you so much for watching. I'll talk to you soon.
