These are my three salad upgrades for skin longevity. As my salad base, I always have a dark leafy green like spinach. First upgrade is chickpeas. These are great because they're rich in protein, so I feel full up. And they're great for my gut microbiome, which is super for my skin microbiome. Then my next upgrade is walnuts. More protein, but importantly great for barrier health because they're full of healthy fats. I'm going to toast these to release the aroma. Delicious. Upgrade number three, we have the avocado. We have more healthy fats, but what's really important is antioxidants to keep our collagen youthful. And this is full of vitamins A, C, and E. And as a bonus, it's full of fiber, which is also good for your microbiome. Finishing touches, some Maldon sea salt, a drizzle of olive oil rich in polyphenols, and a squeeze of lemon. Catch the seeds. And for some umami flavor, a little bit of aged Parmesan. Mhm. 10 out [clears throat] of 10.
