eBay Selling Limits Part 2/2 - Live Call for Increase

hey eBay sellers in today's video I'm going to let you listen in as I call eBay to ask for a seller's limit increase a selling limit increase if you didn't watch part one I would recommend you do that I'll link it below and as you see I've upgraded to this fancy new pointer thing for the screen so it makes it easier for you guys to follow along but let's get right into the phone call the next thing you'll hear is me calling eBay hi welcome to eBay so you know we may record and listen to this call to get started say or enter your seven digit one-time passcode or say I don't have one thanks I see you're calling with questions about your selling limits is that right yes your current monthly seller limits are 150 items or five thousand dollars and zero cents whichever you reach first and this month you can still list 12 items or thirteen dollars and 88 cents you can say repeat my limits otherwise was that all you needed no what else can I help you with increase limit okay it looks like I'll need to pass you to one of our eBay teammates to help with your seller limits hello welcome to eBay this is Sarah speaking can I get your name please oh yes thank you and how can I help you today Paul um yes I'm calling about my limit I called a few days ago and was told that even though today's two days earlier that's supposed to be raised and because of um my performance I would be able to then increase a couple days early yeah we often do that so I can review it with you today and see how much we could increase it by great thank you so much uh mostly um Home Improvement items okay and what would be the average selling price for the egg um between 30 and 50 dollars okay closer to 50 actually listed more items closer to the 50 are you looking to list more items that are going to be that higher average selling price yes I'm looking to uh to go higher than that and how many items have you have in stock right now um well I'm a drop shipper ah okay do you hold any in stock at all or is it solely Drop Shipping um nothing in stock okay and do you have a backup supplier if something were to unexpectedly not be available you actually have a couple of them and your dashboard here yeah it's great yeah but we can definitely look through Grace to selling allowances great energy I was happy with everything what we do is we double what you can currently list okay so instead of 150 items that'll go up to 300. okay there's no way it could be a little bit higher than that is that really the most you go at one time and then once it's 30 days from today again just like it did today to get these calls we'll do another quick review and hopefully you'll be able to do something similar okay great and what would be the uh monetary cap on that so that's currently set at five thousand dollars so we can put that up to ten times for you great okay that sounds great and it's fairly quick to go through as well it takes about 10 minutes and then

you'll get an automated email because I wanted to go great thank you so much um is there anything else that you wanted to ask uh nope that's it have a great day bye-bye double my selling limit I'm pretty happy with that I was hoping for a bit more but it seems that they never go more than double your last limit so I'll take what I can get I got to be patient you can hear I fumbled a little when they asked me about my stock but that was because I was kind of confused what they're asking me I thought they were asking me how much uh how many more items I was able to sell for the month but they wanted to know how many items actually had in stock and I didn't have any problem telling them I was a drop shipper from what I hear from other sellers that's not a eBay actually likes drop shippers They Don't Really Care and at least they didn't care when I told them they still gave me the limit increase obviously as you heard um one thing I've got to show you is where you go to find the number to call eBay so if you go to your eBay account and go to my eBay selling up here and then just like I showed you yesterday on this page where it shows you your monthly selling limits right in the middle here you can see now it's up to 300 items or ten thousand dollars per month I since making the phone call I've actually already uploaded some new products I was so excited so I got to do some more later tonight but that's why uh it's showing a little higher but so you just click here where it says request higher selling limit and it's probably going to make you log in and then you know computers being a little slow of course you're going to want to hit talk to us on the phone click continue and then it's going to pop up with the phone number to call was going to see hit call us down here it's going to pop up with a phone number to call and a unique seven digit number so they know who's calling it makes it go faster so another tip is to call them earlier in the day when there's a reduced wait time right now it's 14 minutes and that morning it might only be one minute but finally I want to leave you guys with some important advice for a new eBay sellers my kind of theory is that the only way I'm going to make more money on eBay as a drop shipper is to list a lot of products and the only way I can list a lot of products is with the high selling limit and the only way to get a high selling limit is to perform well on eBay that means sell lots of products and get good reviews by providing great customer services I fortunately found products that allow me to make a profit even with a low selling limit but if you're having trouble getting sales out of profit my recommendation would be to break even on your sales you just want to turn over as many products as you can and provide that great customer service so you can prove to Ebay that you can sell and manage sales only then will you get the higher selling limit and then you can sell limits you can sell products at a higher profit margin once you have a higher selling limit um finally the best advice I can give you that I'm giving myself is to be patient increasing my selling limit is taking me time at this rate I won't hit my goal of 1000 listings until four months after I started selling on eBay so I have to be patient and I encourage everyone else to be patient with this as well so if you found this video helpful please give it a thumbs up or subscribe if you want to see more if you have an idea for a future video please leave it in the comments below and bye
