How to pick great colors in Adobe Illustrator! #adobeillustrator #graphicdesign

See, you're the type of person who makes poor color choices in Illustrator. Let me show you how to pick great colors. I'm going to open up the recolor option. You can drag any of these little dots around. The problem is if you started with bad colors, you just get different kinds of bad color combinations. There's two things I like to do. Generative recolor, you can type it in and say, I want it to be the 80s cuz those are great time for colors. Uh pinks, pinks and purples. What I find really good is go to recolor and this magical option. It says color theme picker. Click on that. Find something you already like the colors from. Click it once and it kind of worksish. I'll show you the magic though. See down here there's this option. Click on this. It says show saturation. Okay. Click on that and you can crank this up. Look. Okay. Now we're getting some. We're not getting anywhere. The last bit of sprinkle, okay, is this one here. It says randomize the colors from that image. You can see it's going to go through and pick different colors from that image. Here you go. I don't like those colors. Let's go to the color theme picker. Okay. And click on another image. Ooh, instantly better. Again, make sure the saturation is up high enough. Okay. And then you can go through and just hit the random. Just click click click until you find something that you like. I did it. I picked a good color. That's how you go from a color picking amateur, okay, to a color picking pro. You steal them. Is it stealing? I don't know. Can you steal color options?
