You know, so often I think even without realizing it, when someone's sharing and particularly if they're sharing something that we may not agree with, as they're talking, we're thinking, "Oh, what am I going to say that's going to convince them of something different? And how am I going to respond to this? " Right? I think that's a big skill with negotiation is deep listening. Like how are we creating the space to truly listen to somebody and not with the idea of trying to convince them of our point of view, but to really hear what they have to say and share.
