Can MiuMiu Make Upcycling Cool?

Just over a week ago, Miumu launched their upycling collection. And this is what I want to see more of from Miumu. For these collections, Miumu remixes vintage clothes. And this time, there's a very specific focus on the white shirt and the khaki chinos. And it's good to see the playfulness in some of the garments. I also love that in the lookbook they styled a lot of the upcycled garments with Miumu spring summer collections because ultimately a lot of brands sometimes they separate their upycling collections to their normal collections and I don't like it when they create that level of separation. When brands do that it almost gives me the sense that they feel like their upycling collections can't stand beside their other collections which is really bad when you think about it. But my only concern is the prices. You guys know Miumu and their sky-high prices. The quality has to be good. I hope they fix their quality control issues because the whole thing that was happening last year where everybody's garments were breaking and people's buttons were popping off of their jackets after just the wear, that's not acceptable at that price point and that isn't luxury. And I think this is another thing about sustainability and maybe the way a lot of brands think about it because what isn't commendable is people patting themselves on the back because they have an upcycled collection but it isn't made to last. I think the first point of call when it comes to sustainability should really be does it last long? That should be the first thing. So yeah, let me know what you think about this in the comments.
